Marlene and Vincent are so cute together. And so often Cloud comes off as a mute goober of a guy :-) Here you see him thinking and interacting in a more endearing way than is usually shown.

It is interesting that I feel this as more of the 'guys' story. We get to see very real and convincing interaction between the guys, allowing us to see that they aren't as emotionally detached as their outward behavior suggests. And they help each other, using just a few words but nevertheless, words that help each of them to keep on trying to salvage relationships that might have died without that help.

Please continue this...I don't need more than one chapter that will complete the story...but please do write that one chapter so we can see your vision of what happens with Lucrecia. I like it when Vincent is left with hope and at least he has that in spades with this last chapter...no matter what happens with Lucrecia, he now appreciates how much he needs his friends and how much they need him. Good job.

It just occurred to me that maybe Sephiroth was trying to gain Omega the way Vincent has Chaos. Lord, that would have been creepy since Chaos exists to serve Omega...

My very favorite part of this fic is, without a doubt, the Vincent and Marlene interactions. I LOVE that she's his "anchor" and I love the Choco/Moogle thing.

The plot is, without a doubt, BRILLIANT. What with Rufus being suspicious of AVALANCHE (and the Turks refusing to go along with it), the bit about Reeve being the people person, Cid having a kid (I'm an obsessed Valenwind/CidxVin fan, but you've made VinLuc REALLY convincing even for ME in this, which is great!), Shalua being alive - I might have to use that idea sometime, if you'd let me, because holy Toledo that's brilliant, the Nanaki/Cloud/Vincent connection, the Cloud/Tifa angst/love, the Denzel/Marlene family-ness... omg. You have created a brilliant tale here, and I simply cannot wait to read more. I am almost positive Vincent will bring Lucrecia back, but I fear you may end the story there. On the contrary, I must request that you continue the story to show her meeting the other members of AVALANCHE and getting settled into a life with Vincent. But I suppose I will have to wait and see.

Aww, that's just cute. And adorable. I'm such a sucker for Marlene and Vincent interactions!! Anyway, awesome fic and I can't wait to see how this ends! Update soon please!
