Lovely verse... I've not read your poetry, not being a big fan of any kind of poetry, but now I see I will need to go back and read them all. This may have been Aragorn or Legolas, but it's timeless in its cry: have I done my best? Something all of us ask ourselves as we age.

I love the way you wrote this poem between father and son.

I always wondered, why Thranduil would let his only heir (If Legolas is truely the only heir) go with the fellowship? why didn't he choose one of his warriors? makes you wonder about that. That has been in the back of my mind ever so long.
