this is a great story! I love what you have done with the characters, and McKay is perfect.

I've never read a SGA AU before; some stories that went AU, but not a total AU like this. I really enjoyed it. You did a great job fitting the characters in. I'd love to see a sequel to it. The only thing missing is Beckett and Radek :P Not sure what Radek would be doing, but if Beckett came to the US I could see him being a country doctor :P

Well, this was unique and really interesting.
I really, really loved your drug-dealer Kavanaugh. He made me grin.
Oh, and John, bitter war veteran John, he was really believable.
Then Teyla...She was perfect as a Mexican woman.
And then McKay. Hilarious and very good in character.
Well-done and very different from other stories.

That was truly a heartwarming story. I love the way the characters fit perfectly into their roles, even minor ones like the hiccuping girl and Caldwell; nothing Atlantis-y had to be included at all for everyone to be completely themselves. And the storytelling was very well-done; it would make an awesome movie, actually.

Oh man.. yet another awesome fic.. and I gotta say- having lived in BFE Texas.. I could definitely connect to this! lol

Squee! Wasn't sure what this was going to be when I opened it up, but hey, you haven't let me down yet (and if I don't slow down I'll be all out of Sholio fic before the week is up). There was action! Whump! Kavanagh as a drug dealer (hee! high school dropout!), Steve, Bob, and the boys, as well as great snark. Them tying Rodney up with bungee cords, and him thinking of it as "redneck hell", CRACKED me up! Caldwell the crotchety kind old neighbor, and was that Novak as the post office lady? Snickered probably too much at the thought of Weir in the CIA, in charge of WMD programs, Miss 'Negotiate' herself ;) All of the little tie-ins to the series had me grinning, from all of the mentioned above, to the 'siege' of the house.

All of this, and bacon! "He'd always been a sucker for bacon." Me too, Rodney, me too. XD Damn that bacon siren...

Okay, enough shameless ego pumping, guess I'll just go move on to another one. Darn you... and your good fic.

Many things. Great pacing, excellent plot lines, awesome action scene and really, you captured the voices so well. That pretty much sums it up.

I just loved this story. What can one say as a form of critique when everything is done so perfectly?

I am not generally a fan of AU stories. Usually i just skip over them. I am SO glad i printed this one out and read it. This story is a hoot, and a true gem. WONDERFUL! Great characterisation, (i luv Kavanuagh as a drug dealer, i can so see him in his little airstream hovel!) and as always you've truly captured each character's unique "voice". Kudos! favorite non-stargate stargate story!

That was priceless! I love the warm fuzziness of the ending--and the whole thing, throughout!! It really is the characters that make SGA so wonderful, and you've done an outstanding job replacing their circumstances while allowing them to remain wholly themselves!

I LOVE this AU of the Atlantis team. I felt a little uncomfortable w/Teyla being presented as an illegal, but I suppose in the PG, John would be considered the same.

I also like that you stayed true to voices of each character.

And the *Wraith* rednecks - priceless.
