CharmedMummy 2008-02-27 ch 19,	abuseI'll get the constructive criticism out of the way first: you should maybe think about putting some kind of break between scene transitions, like between when they were at the train station and then suddenly at the department. Use the line that you've utilized to separate your author's note from the story or something like that because otherwise those jumps can be a little to quick sometimes and it can make a reader come out of the story to go, "Wait, what? I thought we were there, how are we here?" Other than that, it was a good chapter. Sounds like the secret will be out soon. It'll be fun when that happens I suspect. And I wonder how Stephanie would take finding out that she wasn't the first to know, if Don somehow let it slip that Danny actually knew first. ;) Anyway, good move forward for now and I hope you have the time and energy to write more in the near future.

Stubborn and annoying are more common. ;) Yay for the new chapter! And reconciliation! And I have to say, you've managed to make Bette grow on me. I wasn't the biggest fan of her at the beginning of this AU since she didn't approve of Flack and who couldn't approve of him? But I've gradually come around on her and I think this chapter made that reversal in opinion complete. :) I hope you're having a good start to the new year and thanks again for the new chapter.

Even though I knew it wasn't finished, sometimes I would search for it and reread it just because I loved it so much despite it being left hanging, so you can imagine how excited I was to see the new chapter. And congratulations to you on your baby! I would have understood just life in general coming in the way of your writing or an uncooperative muse since that happens to me all the time, but a new baby is definitely a more legitimate excuse than I usually have. :) And yeah, seeing Tess and Don go through a rough patch might not be easy, but it's to be expected and I have faith that there is light at the end of the tunnel. :) So welcome back and thanks for updating after all this time. :)

Positively wonderful writing, and the conversation's between all the char. are great - they read with such ease, and you can 'see' the char. saying that an acting like that, which just makes it even better. Still love Tess, totally didn't see the pregnancy coming, nice wee twist there :) One of my favourite parts of this is the Danny/Flack dynamic you've got going on, especially when their roles reverse and Danny's the one giving advice. Can't wait to read more of your writing. Amazing work, once again. Steph x
