I can totally see her having a little crush on him--exactly how you wrote, it, actually. Her thoughts about Basch were where this shined. Thought that was the best part. I believe the feeling could be mutual, just that it would take longer to develop on Basch's end than hers. Nicely done, overall, and I sniggered over Vaan's little bit in the story.
