For some reason, that final line had me doubled over laughing. It's probably all the Mummy fics I've read recently where Ardeth turns out to be a bit of a trouble magnet all by himself!

HOORAY! Brilliant as ever. I loved the bit where Ardeth wonders if they felt sorrow at his 'sacrifice', then compares it with the Curator's *real* sacrifice. Also the fact that he can enjoy the luxury of having a laugh sometimes... must be hard being the tough guy all the time! :-) I think this is my fave of all you've written so far - and it's so short! Proves you don't have to write epics to get the message across. Can't wait for your next fic! *Hugs*
