I really enjoyed this story. I thought you did a lovely job with it.

Wow... That was amazingly good. Like, I was actually supposed to be sleeping, but then I read this and I couldn't stop. It was long, I'll agree but it definitely added to it, I'm glad it was :D

I loved how you went through the stages of their relationship, and it made me totally happy :) Although the part where Balthier was like close to death made me kinda sad...

I love both of them together - Definitely in my top five of the Final Fantasy (and I suppose Kingdom Hearts with that) series of favorite couples. Did that make sense? I hope it did.

I know you wrote this a very long time ago but I hope you still get my review. That was amazing, and I liked it very much. The way they met, circling around again to Balthier's thoughts all the way at the end of it all. Absolutely adorable :D

Very well written, very good job, I saw no mistakes, and it was definitely great :D They were totally in character, and I look forward to (hopefully - I haven't checked yet) reading more Balthier/Fran stuff :D Or final fantasy 12 stories at least. I shall look as soon as I submit this review.

Keep writing! It would be an awful shame to see someone of such awesome talents go to waste :D

To me, I think its hard to make a well-written balfran like this one, because of their character and whatnot, and the dialouge! Kudos to you for the fantastic dialouge because I know that there is absolutely NO WAY I could actually write like that without screwing it up.

At first I was afraid this would be one of the sad ones where he dies and she's left alone, but no! I love what you did with it!
That happened in my favorite novel trilogy, actually. The main character's true love died young, but he later met and fell in love with the reincarnation (there was the fact that he was twice the other's age, but that wasn't too big of a deal...)
Anyway, very nice. ^_^

A like your take on their courtship -- something I wanted to know more about in the game -- and I'm glad you thought to write about what happens when he gets old! Is it a male fantasy to have a wife that never gets old -- it seems to be a common fantasy theme . . . Anyway, your fic was well-characterized and well-written. Thank you!

Funny that you said FFXII was such a mature story, because that was exactly the word I was going to use to describe yours. The moments you capture are both candid in their presentation and still very sincere.
(I have to niggle at something though - it's "moot" point, not "mute" point.)
I've found the idea of romance between them a possible side effect of their close relationship as partners. I like that though there was romance, you centered the story around their partnership. When you get down to it, FFXII wasn't about romance, and Balthier and Fran's relationship would've just been made shallow by labelling them as "lovers". I'm glad that your take on them reflected that their relationship was deeper than that. You actually deepened their relationship further - and very well at that. Congratulations on a wonderful one-shot.

LIked the story! It's so bittersweet to think that Fran will take much longer to die (if she even dies at all) while Baltheir's beautiful self will age and grey and die ah poo. You're very intune with the pairing like I am with the Seyna pairiing (don't ask lol) and this one as well. But though I must point out on your author notes. I also believed at first that Ashe wanted Baltheir and that baby at the end is being held by him and it's Fran. Though upon second glance you'll see those were childhood pictures and infact that was Dr. Cid holding Baltheir. Also did you notice that Basch is quite taken with Ashe, I believe she shall be getting her happy ending :)
