this was a brilliant story, and I know how I'm interpreting this ending - that they got better and lived happily ever after! soppy I know, but that's me!

Wow, what an ending...together forever, perhaps to find another life beyond their wanderings and pain; and she was his hero. Personally, I know my interpretation...they might have settled together, hidden away, to live an ordinary existence, if only Rose could have stayed. (Well, this is a fanfiction, after all.)

Yay...they're free. Though it still doesn't look too promising for them. Hope they survive though. It would be heartbraking for them to find freedom only for one of them to die. Especially if it's Rose, not being able to regenerate and all.
