I'm so glad I found this. The snappy dialogue, the very true-to-life depiction of the hapless cashiers, and the twist ending recall the best work of Ray Bradbury or O. Henry. I hope you continue writing fiction, lots more fiction, in this or other fandoms, because you have an amazing talent! Or maybe I'll find your work in print. In any case, you have good reason to be grateful for your abilities.
