Well, you certainly got me on this one! Soon as they walked into that theater, I just *knew* he was going to propose! And, really, he did everything but actually say the last two words! You did such a wonderful job of building the anticipation with their journey up to the stage in the dark, the candles Will set up, the dancing, the soft music, and of course, Will's beautiful words. And then to cut it off so suddenly with such a cliffie?! Oh, my. Was not expecting that.

I loved the earlier scenes of PridefulWill not wanting to reveal his awful financial situation to his girlfriend, as well as the scenes of AshamedWill when he finally did confess to her how bad things had gotten. The dialogue in that scene in her bedroom was fabulous, with AngstyWill and LovingElizabeth making wonderful appearances. And I really liked Elizabeth's plans for the theater and the way she got Mr. Roberts to go along with the plan and convince Will to agree to it as well. I'm glad Will was able to see that she only did that becuase she loved him so much.

All in all, it was a great chapter! I'm going to give myself a little time off before returning to find out exactly what just happened in that theater! Also, just out of curiosity, are you ever giong to update "Diamond Murderer?" Because that's a great story, too!

I'm through the halfway point of your story thus far, and I'm still totally loving it! I liked Will playing football with his mates, as well as all the good-natured teasing that went on between them. Your dialogue is usually so natural-sounding...I love it! I thought the ice-skating scene was very cute and romantic. You really had me wondering if maybe Will might be proposing in his apartment there, but he definitely seems the type that would ask Weatherby's permission first. Interesting conversation between the two of them there. I thought you captured each of their feelings quite well. And the bit of smut at the end was just a nice bonus! Be back at a later date for Chapter 12! :-)

Well, whaddya know? I finally made it back to read and review Chapter 10. Great title, BTW, although it didn't make sense until I'd read through the whole chapter. The scenes with Elizabeth taking care of poor, sick Will were just too cute. I loved how quickly their positions were reversed when Elizabeth burnt her hand on the tea kettle, and Will immediately shifted to take care of her. They had a lot of great, "normal-sounding" dialogue in there, too. You are so good at making their words sound so *real* as though two people could actually be saying these to each other, rather than just something that looks good on paper (or the computer screen, as the case may be). Your switch from cuteness to creepiness was surprisingly quick, but also surprisingly believable. Lots of suspense and anxiety once that man attacked Will. Good job describing Elizabeth's reactions to the whole thing. Oh, how I love scenes where Will protects Elizabeth! Good work, once again, on this chapter. I shall return at a later date for chapter 11.

And here's my thoughts on chapter 9...It was good. I liked reading about some of the nice "normal" moments in their lives after the drama of the previous two chapters. (Not that I didn't enjoy the drama, but it's nice to have a mixture.) I thought the gift and note Will left for Elizabeth were really sweet. That Will is quite the romantic guy, isn't he? It was funny when they were interrupted by the Inspector at Will's shop. Once they hit "the triple L," I just knew they were going to have a police officer knocking at the car window! How embarrassing to have it be someone Elizabeth knew, too!

Another good chapter. I'm loving the mix of humor and romance that you write so well. Oh, and that Danny is still creeping me out. I'm guessing you're gradually building up to something with him?

Let me just say that it is WONDERFUL to see another rabid Willabeth fan! I LOVE reading your stories, and I'm quite enjoying this one. It was very clever to incorporate some of the film's main plot into your original story. I am very much looking forward to reading the next chapter!

Chapter 8 was great (hey, that rhymes)! I was quite surprised by Weatherby's change of heart, but glad that he is apparently more accepting of Will now. Loved the flashback of their first kiss, with the near-misses thrown in there. Your description of the moment it actually happened was beautiful. Loved your AngstyWill descriptions, as well as his trip to the Black Pearl and Anamaria's insistence that Elizabeth loved him. Everything from the moment Elizabeth stepped into Will's apartment to the end of this chapter was just wonderful. Her heartfelt apology; the way he didn't forgive her right away; how he worried about her being at the store for so long (another one of those brilliant "little things" that you're so good about including); their talk on the couch; their realization that they'd be together forever; and of course their slow and gentle love-making. This was just beautiful, and I'm *awfully* tempted to go ahead and read another chapter today!
