Well, it's not a bad idea you have here, but you definitely have some things to work on. The writing is really dry, in my opinion, and a little short. Short isn't bad if you're really good with packing a lot into it, but this isn't the case here. Do more than tell what's going on, show it. Be more descriptive. Try to stay away from clichés.
