Taisi 2008-06-21 . chapter 1Aww...That flashback from Destiny Islands was adorable. I don't really like Kairi all that much, but Sora will do anything for her. This was a cute piece. |
Silvera Hikari 2008-04-12 . chapter 1I think that was written beautifully. Good job on expressing his feelings and thoughts, I enjoyed it very much! |
KaiPheonix 2007-12-23 . chapter 1good on you for taking this oneshot on and turning out such a fabulous response to the idea |
Steven Kodaly 2007-10-04 . chapter 1Very nicely done! Although I haven't looked too hard, I haven't seen stories like this on this site. Your take on the Heartless is very interesting. |
Pied Flycatcher 2007-05-04 . chapter 1Really good - excellent writing, and the characterisation was great as well. I liked the flashback, which really portrayed the relationship between the three friends perfectly. And the extra details you added about his senses as a Heartless all added to the atmosphere of the piece. Great job. :) |
 Daniel14541 2007-04-22 . chapter 1This was an awsome read. |
Itallia 2007-04-10 . chapter 1This makes me wish I knew a little more about KH. I just know the general outline of the story, having never been able to play the games properly. The Tarzan and Alice in Wonderland levels stumped me. I can't remember if that's from KH 1 or 2.
Anyway, I like the way this is written, even if I don't understand everything that's going on. |
Kat 2007-04-10 . chapter 1 Great one-shot, this story deserves so many more reviews than it has, but keep on writing! I love your work |
 Gijinka Renamon 2007-03-20 . chapter 1Wow. I really like this. It's quite descriptive. ^_^ |
Mirror and Image 2007-02-27 . chapter 1...Mm. We liked it. Nice.
As recent delvers into KH fanfiction, it's refreshing to note that some authors can keep everyone in character. We particularly liked the flashback, it's *just like* Riku to pretend to be drowning to trick Sora into action, and equally just like Kairi to be the supportive "we're here for you so don't worry," role.
Loved that Riku told Sora to get going you moron! Made me grin.
A really nice take on the scene, well written and blessedly free of spelling and grammar errors. Keep up the good work.

 fantasyrider-kh 2007-01-22 . chapter 1whoa. this is really, really good.`
i love the memory of him learning how to swim, it really shows how good of friends he has and how he will be brave if someone is in danger. really good characterization!
you did a really good job on this, and i like your style of writing, too!
(oh, and i like how riku had a "holier-than-thou" smile, thats exactly the word to describe it) |
yumerin 2007-01-21 . chapter 1Nyah! KH is my second favorite game (just after The Legend of Zelda series)! I enjoy Sora-centered fics because I think his a very rich character - you know, the kind of person who take his best friend sword and, well, kill himself, to save his other best friend. I do like that kind of person ^^
As aways, you wrote this story with your divine writing skills that make me think like the character thinks! Seriously, it seems I AM Sora when I read this! You bring the character mind and heart close to ours - it's touching, and deep!
I'm totally your fangirl, you know! *cheering*
Keep writing, because you're a gifted writer! The word needs more people like yoy, milady! |
Unpersonified 2006-12-05 . chapter 1Yes, I would have to agree with you, Reaper Nanashi. There are plenty few fics exploring what I consider to be one of the most crucial points of the game, and for that, I’d like to congratulate you thus for making this honourable effort.
Now, unto the finer details of your story.
Okay, perhaps it is a tad critical (not to mention highly partial to one’s tastes) to include this, but… It would have been much preferred if you had incorporated original game script into your fic. (If only Sora and co. didn’t have to simper their way through some pathetic, overly syrupy Disney sentiments… I know. Still, I particularly liked Donald’s “Confounded Heartless! Get lost, will ya?”) This would have added a dimension of familiarity, which is especially satisfying to experience in an event revisited by literature.
Where’s Beast? (You can tell I played the game quite recently)
Good use of flashback. A delightful past SKR moment, although I would imagine that being resident to a islandic homeland, swimming would be almost an instinctual response. Riku and Kairi are characterized very well, here.
Something I would have to applaud you on is your impeccable spelling and paragraphing, as well as tasteful vocabulary. Basic essentialities to any story, but yes, still a rare find nonetheless.
My rambling concludes herein. Well done and thanks for embellishing a favourite moment of my favourite game and for providing my whimsical, grammar-perfection-starved brain a trinket to appreciate.
