this is a great story so far!

the line in your story 'Two kinds of evil in the world, Suki. Those who commit it, and those who see it happening and yet do nothing' reminded me of the line in mean girls where that lesbian girl said 'there are 2 kinds of evil in the world,cady, people who do evil stuff and people who see evil stuff happening but dont do anything about it' or something like that.

Wow! So EPIC! I've always liked nice one-shots, but these kinds of long, action-packed dramas are growing on me too. So many characters! So epic! Sorry, I'm still kinda spazzing after reading about 15 chapters in one sitting. Whew! Those were some great battle scenes, though. Good battle scenes are rarer than good emotional insight sequences, but you pulled them both off really well. I just loved the whole thing.

And there were very good shiptastic moments. Yay Toph/Aang! But you know, as much as I love the deep, life-contemplating passages where characters come to epic conclusions on their feelings, I kinda wished for some more physical interaction? Surely this way is more Avatar-like, and surely Toph kissing Aang when he seemed to be dead would be way too cliche, but I felt that maybe a hug in the hospital scene after he awoke might've been nice. Of course, I'm just being picky now. Still, awesome fic! One of my favorites, to be sure.

It's been a while since I've first stumbled upon this story, but the sheer epic greatness of it never ceases to amaze me. I always wanted to say this: Bryke must've been bumbling around and found and read this fic and thought to themselves "ONOZ! My ideas have already been taken by this person! Now I've got to change my whole plot so that it doesn't look like I've plagiarized off of a fanfic!!" XD

But yeah. What I really enjoyed were the little flashbacks for each of the GAang. They were very insightful and well-thought out. My favorite was of Toph's, where her parents hid her from everyone else because they were ashamed of her blindness. That definitely sounds like something they would have done in the canon. Sokka's and Katara's were cute and is very telling of their relationship with each other. Zuko's was sweet and heart-wrenching and I can't think of any superlatives to do how you wrote him justice. Aang's mother was a good way to demonstrate how his life will go. I also loved the pairings! You did well to contrast both Aang's and Sokka's feelings for their respective loves. Katara = kind and supportive; Toph = tough and unyielding. Yue = Graceful, kind, and delicate; Suki = Firm, true, and perservering. Zuko learns how to make friends with the GAang at a believable pace, unlike the canon, and Katara learns not completely but understands how he came to be the person he is, and she respects that. You did excellently with Book 3: Fire, and I do hope you'll finish Vices and Virtues. Keep up the great writing!

...Holy crap... This was incredibly epic! Mindblowingly epic! This was so much damn better then the real thing! I really can't decide whether or not this needs a sequel. On one hand, this is just so incredibly badass that I'd kill to read more of it. On the other hand, this is so incredibly badass it'd be agony trying to top this! My god... Well... I suppose I can content myself with reading more from your archive. Keep at it.

I really loved this story! It was so much better than the actual season 3! The end of 39 was so touching that I started to cry. I can't wait to read more from you!!

The part where Katara got captured was a sort of relief to be honest. They ususally make out the avatar gAang to be a little too invincible.

The lady at the shop was definetly an interesting character; a lot more unique than most of the fire nation characters created in most stories. I also love how you manage to always have something happen in your story for a reason. It makes your plot seem believable.

Wow, I just adored the fighting scenes. The one with Katara was also very cool.

Though, you could've maybe had a little more insight on what the other characters were doing during those fight scenes (Iroh, other guys on Hakoda's ship...etc).
