you do very well on the parallels, juxtapositions and contradictions of Light's thoughts and the reality of both the truth of the Kira case and his interactions with L. that, along with style and consistancy, make this fic great.

this chapter = great and wonderful goodness not usually found on earth

that was utterly fun. and it was funny, no matter what Light thinks. flirtatious undertones are always a good thing.

oh, that was such a typically L thing to do. perfect. and the bit about Light watching his own demise was great.

the massive AWKWARD! that is this chapter was handeled with a wonderful grace.

you dont need to be insecure. i personally enjoy your writing style. this type of style in general is one of my favourites and you are quite good at it. you did a good job on Lights thoughts through out the story so far.

i've stumbled upon this story recently and i must say i'm impressed. i very much enjoy your rendering of both L and Light, and i like the way you write the tension between them, it's plausible. and hot. haha, yes... i was, am, and will always be a slash fangirl, no point denying it. anyways... if DN lacked sth, it certainly was yaoi. seriously... these two are so messed up, but so irresistible together. and you're managing to capture it perfectly. so yeah, i'm faving. and impatiently awaiting un update:)

Great chapter and I am so happy to find someone else who knows about the enneagram, but I'm afraid I disagree with your typing of Light and L, though I don't feel as strongly about L as I do about Light as a One. I understand where you are coming from. Ones are morally uptight, and have a tendency to want to reform the world, or can be incredibly idealistic. Ones are also informally known as the perfectionists...so yes I can see how Light appears to be a one. The thing is that while many Ones have a tendency to show these traits, that DOES NOT MEAN OTHER TYPES LACK THEM. Ones are more defined by their fear of being wrong, or desire to be right, than by their moral standards or beliefs. I thought Light might be an Eight (The Challanger or The Leader) with a Seven wing, mostly because eights, like I think Light, are driven most by a desire for power.(I think seven wing because a nine wing mediates the confrontational nature of the eight, and I don’t think that is true for Light at all. Seven wings also make the Eight more charismatic.) They can be very manipulative, and absolutely ruthless, and in the more unhealthy ranges sociopathic. Ones have a greater tendency to turn themselves into martyrs and have no trouble taking orders if they believe in their cause. (Mikami is a classic One) In fact, I think that is the single greatest reason that Light cannot be a One. Ones are just not that competitive, or that concerned with power. Ones may also completely disregard what other people think about them, or will give the appearance of not caring at least. Ones also have a tendency to beat themselves up when they make mistakes and have problems with anger and guilt; they fear being ‘bad’. You could, of course, make the argument that Light is a very unhealthy One (Ones when they become unhealthy are often highly hypocritical), but unhealthy Ones fall into their problems because they loose control utterly – their hypocrisy is highly emotional and passionate. The murderer killing the murderer makes sense, but an unhealthy One would not be doing such a thing calmly or rationally. I could also see an argument for Light being a Three, based on his concentration of image.

As for L, well I thought he might be a Five with a Six wing (with all that paranoia what else can he be!) It seemed like his motives were always more along the lines of a desire for knowledge rather then enjoyment, or justice despite what he says. But I’d be willing to hear arguments against that one.

Oh, and one other thing. I did take a class on the Enneagram, which is how I know all of this, and you cannot have a wing that is not from a number next to you. (There are nine numbers, all placed on a circle, in order) Thus a One can only have a Nine wing or a Two wing, an Eight can only have a Seven wing or a Nine wing, and a Five can only have a Six wing or a Four wing. It may not seem logical, but it does actually work. The wing describes the a range within a type that is most like the two types on each side.
