Aww. What a sweet fic. Don't agree with the Sora part though. She's the one that should be unnoticed! She was a right cow to Tai in the second season and I really hate her! She's also just annoying and a loudmouth. lol. Joe's waaaayyy better than she is!

I really like how you showed how deep their friendship can be in this little scene. How they can help each other in many ways that are not as obvious as the other partners' relationships. Still, my take on the Jyou/Gomamon friendship is "no words are needed, I undestand how you feel" so seeing them so open towards one another did not look like their relationship in the show to me.

Jyou was in-character. I understand that he may have self-confidence problems that he wouldn't tell anyone except Gomamon later in the Season (well, he told Mimi too but that was to make her understand his reasons for leaving her). And side ways may be his way to prove himself useful, I'm not so sure about it.

I'm not so sure about Gomamon. I can not see him having self-considence problems, even with his lack of strength. He is optimistic by nature so it would take more than Jyou's pessimism to push him that far. He was more in-character when he blurted things out near the end of the story.

I love the title. It's what drew me to the fanfic in the first place, since that's exactly what Jyou and Gomamon are; unsung heroes. You don't understand their part in the team with a first glance, you've got to look deeper to see what they offer. They are unsung, but they are still heroes; and these kind of heroes count more than all the others combined.

Nice fanfic, and just the right size for what you were aiming. Not fluffy, not dramatic, just short, cute, and quite meaningful. Good luck with anything else you may be planning!
