From the way Saitou talks abou thow his father is in Cap Mis, and from this chapter, he really reminds me of Isshin Kurosaki. Much more to him than a goofy, fight-loving, oblivious man.

T_T Oh man. I only intended to read one chapter because I have a lot of schoolwork awaiting me...but your stories are seriously like crack. I just keep coming back for more.

"Momento" is wonderfully poignant for such a short piece. I really feel for Saitou here. Their uneasy relationship is portrayed so well (believably so, despite most people catching on a little sooner than 7 years).

Tokio's starting to remind me a bit of myself...which is entirely obnoxious of me to say, but the way she won't ever admit to weakness (ie: secretly coveting the tiny crane and letting him think she'd been petty about it) and being insanely driven to compete with every smug smirk on her competitor's face...yeah. Totally right there with her every step of the way.

Thank you for such a delightful Thanksgiving treat! It was fun reading these. Leave it to him to bring out her competitive streak with the cranes. I loved it when he saw she'd kept something he drew for her in her wallet for 5 years. Number 9 on her list of 10 was great. Finally dawns on her that she is the one on whom he focuses his attention. Chapter 28: If only Saitou knew *who* he had to thank for destroying Tokio's relationship with the defense attorney! Dad to the rescue. Of course, it is only Saitou who refuses to be intimidated by the old cop.

Chapter 29: Chivalry is not dead! It was nice to see him defend her honor. Found your note about 'Christmas Cake' very interesting.

Chapter 30: Tokio is finally falling for the wolf 'big time' and almost admitting it to herself. Loved this line: "So Tokio resigned herself to a life of dating men who weren’t Saitou and then subconsciously punishing them for it."
