I don't think the characters are too OOC, apart from maybe Mr Dickinson, who I always thought had a bit of a soft spot for Kai. That's just my opinion though.

Also, you use the word "paniced" once or twice in this chapter, when it should be "panicked", and in the line "Kai felt his lips twitch in a desprit smirk." it should read "Kai felt his lips twitch into a desperate smirk".

I do hope I didn't sound too patronising there. Just trying to make a great fic with a really good plot even better. _

Anyway, loved this chapter! You didn't ramble! Or if you did, can't say I noticed! I'm DESPERATE now, what the hell is Kai's grandfather DOING to him? And there's definitely something between him and Kenny! Not in a relationship sort of way, in a kind of ... empathic way. It's like Kenny can see stuff about Kai that no one else has or can.

Does that make sense? 0o' Anyway, yeah. I really love the way you've got Kai reacting, it just seems to work! And who doesn't love a misunderstood bad boy? Lol!

in all honesty...when dealing with abuse, whether you're the victim or someone trying to help them or the abuser, no-one is really in character, in other words, I think you're fine on that respect...Keny's was a surprise though...

i don't believe that kenny was ooc, but kai just a bit. i don't know what it was, or if it was just me, but some quirk or description just didn't sound right at some point to me. it might be because i was writing one of my own stories before i read this, because they're rally ooc, and it's probably still on my mind. oh well. it's great. i hope that you update soon, it's getting good.

your spelling isn't too bad and there are some grammar mistakes, but hey, no one's completely perfect. the story is going along nicely, and there's only one more thing i need to say. in some of your chapters you've used the same phrases or the same words in a row or used them more than twice. when people write like that, the story sounds repetitive and people think to themselves, "where have i just read that?" so just watch out for that, otherwise the story is great and i hope that you continue!
