| mendenbar 2006-12-12 ch 1, | abuseRewatch the pilot. Zach is not nearly the naif as he becomes later in the series. This is often referred to as the Radar O'Reilly syndrome. In the movie M*A*S*H, Radar was a worldly wise Iowa farm boy who knew more about life than almost any one else in camp. In the series, he got younger and more naive as the years went on until by the middle of the run, he carried a teddy bear and was embarrassed if anyone even mentioned sex. I think the writers felt that the early Zack and Jack Hodgins were too much alike and so made this characteristic change. Nice story. |
