Ah! I was reading this in my English class when I decided there had to be SOMETHING out there for Ralph/Piggy. And now I am satisfied because there WAS something. And of all authors to write it, it's one of my favorites too! (oh I am SUCH a suck up) But, seriously, I enjoyed it. Short, sweet, simple-ish, but enough to capture a moment of being stranded on an island with some killer creepy ginger making it more of a hell than it needs to be. Thuper.

Gosh this fic is old, but I'll review anyway! Ralph and Piggy are completely in-character, and your writing invokes the feelings of fear and desperation of their situation. Your style is uniquely yours, but you managed to tap into the elements of Golding's writing.

You know, I have never understood why there is so much Jack/Ralph. I have always disliked Jack, and besides, everyone should. I think that there needs to be more Ralph/Piggy because, after all, there is more to it.

anyways, i loved this. the characters were spot-on, and i loved that you did this pairing, and not Jack/Ralph, as everyone seems accustomed to doing. i haven't finished the book yet but i know what happens to Piggy, which makes me really sad. i always thought that Piggy and Ralph would make a good pair. so, thank you, for writing this gem of a fic.
