Reviews for My Human BondMate
Lula1 4/22/09 . chapter 11
So, Amanda has more importance than just being 'She who is my wife'. Alliances are very important.
Lula1 4/22/09 . chapter 10
And Sarek becomes distrustful of Starfleet. That very militaristic institution that one day will take his son away from him.
Lula1 4/22/09 . chapter 9
Sarek desires a son most of all. That is typical male, lol.

I love that part where he says he shall not fail his son. I'm sure that he has no intentions of failing him. I really believe that he did not fail Spock, but that Spock just needed more than Sarek could give him...or rather, than what his birthworld could. Spock seemed to be destined for the stars.
Lula1 4/22/09 . chapter 8
Oh, the wishes and dreams of parents for their children. Those very aspirations we set for our children get swept away with their own 'free will' someday.

Poor Sarek will find that out unfortunately...that his precious son will one day decide he must find his own way, not his father's.
Lula1 4/22/09 . chapter 7
Better to have a Romulan at your side than behind your back.
Lula1 4/22/09 . chapter 6
Animal flesh, eh? Those girls need that protein.

BTW, who is Garak and Adrianna? I kinda like Garak and I don't know why yet, lol.
Lula1 4/22/09 . chapter 5
Poor confused Sarek, yet he still came out on top. Gotta love his tenacity concerning his willingness to please his wife.

Oh, if there were more men around like that, eh?
Lula1 4/22/09 . chapter 4
Typical father-to-be. Just can't understand what he has done wrong. LOL
Lula1 4/22/09 . chapter 3
I agree with Amanda. Poor Sarek, he is desperate for his wife's safety but also wants his child. I have wondered many times why they didn't have another child after the birth of Spock and this seems to fit perfectly.

The stress that a purely human child can put on the health of a mother is sometimes exhausting and can present extreme prenatal problems(trust me, I've been through it). But to carry a child that would be half alien to her physiology, well there would definitely make for worse situations.

Glad she had/has deep maternal instincts.
Lula1 4/22/09 . chapter 2
The flower of love unfolds, beckoning a new life into existence. What could be more joyous? Sarek should be near bursting with pride and joy by now, which I imagine he is deep down inside.
Lula1 4/22/09 . chapter 1
I find delving into Sarek's inner thoughts quite intriguing. The love he has for Amanda is amazing, though he has to keep it hidden for her safety...from those who would try to use that very affection as leverage against him as well as his need to protect her from himself. Amazing insight.

I look forward to reading more. Sarek has always been one of my favs, just like Spock...his subdued behavior makes me all the more interested to see what 'lies beneath' the mask.

This made me double think about Sarek. I never though he could be so romantic and protective of his "very human wife" ;)

Great story

While I don't necessarily agree that the relationship between Sarek and Amanda was an equal one, or even healthy, I like what you've picked up on here, and I think that it is a valid interpretation of the few glimpses we get of the couple in 'Babel'. Sarek's voice "feels" authentic to me, which is really the key. Great work, I can't wait for you to update.
