Some of the lyrics are a little stretched, but as usual you capture the character of Murtagh perfectly. If you are thinking of doing another song fic I would suggest Iris by the Goo goo dolls. It would be about Murtagh sneaking back to Nasuada to explain his position/feelings for her and his warning her not to tell anyone that he was there.
If you havn't heard of it the chorus goes like this:

"And I don't want the world to see me,
cuz I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am."

Very sad and interesting story you have wrote. Like it and like your way of writing.

I enjoyed Murtagh's thoughts about Eragon, Nasuada and his father, but I wished that there had been a bit more about he and Eragon's time together. You know about his feelings when he revealed for Eragon that Morzan was his father, when he killed Torkenbrand, when they fought etc.

I hope you will write more on this story. Would love to read your version of Murtagh and Galbatorix' meeting after Murtagh ran away, because I really love the way you write.

Quite lovely. The song fit it. I like the part where he's wondering if Morzan ever regretted what he did.
