This is wonderful! I've been looking for so long for a good post-NFA story that isn't just "And then Buffy and Spike had sex while Angel went away in a huff," or "Oh no! The First Evil has come back!" or is otherwise just an excuse for fan service. I'm really enjoying this for its new concepts and well written old (and new) characters and I hope you'll continue.

Just got round to catching up to part 11. As ever you manage to tantalise me with your wonderfully drawn new world. The way you write Buffy is so remarkably in tune with the Buffy in my own head. I really hope that you'll be able to complete the story and we'll all get a chance to discover how its all going to unfold.

I just wanted to congratulating you. The brilliance of your story has actually drawn me back to after a five-year absence. I didn't even remember the details of my old account so I had to create a new one. That should tell you something regarding my feelings on the fic. I love love love what you're doing with the characters and the plotlines that AtS and BTVS have left in their wake and I believe you'd be doing Joss proud. The relationship between Buffy and Spike is completely believable and beautifully presented. It's been a long time since a fic has sparked my interest has much as yours. Hurry with updates!

You capture Buffy's lack of people skills well. And your OCs are always well thought out. I like these 2 already.

Bet Buffy's hoping Spike changed her clothes and not something else...

She doesn't understand, yet, that battle, war, makes odd buddies. You stick with who will have your back, even if you don't like them much. Spike and Illyria being together is as much about survival as anything else. And they could have been here quite a long time...

So does that mean Dawn's here? Anyway, I'd definitely like to read that Dawn/Connor story whenever u do post it. It seems like this story has a lot more chapters to go.

Yo! I think something needs to be said about the way you've written Buffy's confusion and state while she was sick-slash-injured. Spot on, yeah? And then, the recapitulation (of the non-musical variety) brings everything back together to her, and to the reader. Very, very, pleasant.
Side note, your new characters are so fantastic that they very well seem to be where they should be. Very ethereal yet corporeal... if that doesn't make a lick of sense, then I'm sorry... it made sense in my head :P Anyway, keep on trucking!

Kinda sums up the whole chapter. I love the transition between Spike's pov and Buffy's. It's so effortless that it makes the read go by so smoothly.
Def a fan of chapter 10. Not like I wasn't one of the first 9 chapters, but yanno :P
