This is the first angsty fluff I've ever read. You have remarkable talent for being able to pull it off so well. Maybe the beginning was a little OOC - Jon calling Alanna "love" at the age of 80?! - but all in all it was beautiful. Merry Christmas and please leave me a review if you can.

Oh God ... that was beautiful. I haven't read AJ fics since I stopped shipping this pairing, but ... this one got me. You used one of the world's greatest love songs ever, and combined it with a love that, I was accustomed to think, was long dead. It's all sad, but it stays true to life. Nobody will live forever, and Jon's time has come in this story.

This is one of the best one-shots I've ever seen. You're a very talented writer, and this story makes me almost want to ship AJ again, like I did when I first read SotL. I almost cried whilst reading this.
