wow- intense. i actually liked this fic. it shows a darker side to chandler, which i don't think is actually that ooc. good angst- but poor joey!

A very interesting take on the nature of a possible Chandler-Joey relationship. It's true, Joey is in many ways very dependent on Chandler, and I can easily see Chandler being torn like this, not deciding what was the most important side of his nature as his father did.

I really like the idea of Chandler turning into his father, especially since it's the thing he fears above all. However, like you said in you AN, I seriously doubt Chandler would ever do this, since it goes against everything he wants to be.

The emotions portrayed are believable, even if the fact that it's Chandler who's feeling them is not. Joey fits better in to the role you've made him play. I love the fact that you've essentially given Joey and Chandler a role reversal. Dominant Chandler and submissive Joey is interesting to play around with. I could see it happening in other less dire situations.

Anyway, I loved it, definitely not just a rehash of old cliches.

Like you said, this story is horrible in terms of what's happening in it, but amazing in terms of the writing! The emotions are portrayed so well and so realistically, which is a tricky thing to achieve in such a short story. You really feel Chandler's pain and the complexity of his feelings towards what he's doing. Congratulations!
