Somehow the alert skipped my inbox, so I'm just now coming across this wonderful ending. You just do such a wonderful job writing Eric-Cal. You make me laugh, cry and smile.

Loved Cal's dream, esp the last line of Eric's about Emma wanting a baby brother or sister...adorable, and I can just see Eric using this line on Calleigh.

I just loved the description of their first kiss - what Eric thought it would be like vs. what it really was, and how it ended up not mattering b/c he didn't have to imagine anymore...b/c 'now he knew.' What a great line!

And of course, I love how my favorite southern belle got her way in the end with the Santa hat.

Very, very nice! A lovely and satisfying ending. Very well written (not that I think you're capable of posting anything that isn't well written). And here's a perfect example of writing that conveys the message beautifully and clearly...

'As the last wisps of her dream had faded away, she'd been mesmerized by the family sitting a few yards away, and her mind had wandered to the idea of having a family of her own, awakening a maternal longing in her that she hadn't really felt before. She sighed, feeling oddly empty.'

"Besides, I wanna show you how Christmas is supposed to be," he added softly. Aww... how could she not love him?
