Oh very good. As much as I liked An All Hallows Dreary, this was even better. The play on A Christmas Carol was very fun, and Remy's line concerning having put Julien in his grave. Now I definitely have to read The Ante.

I like this one too. Makes me want to go and start on The Ante again. Do I really want to start on something like that again with no continuations? hint hint. Means it is time to update lady! I saw the other fics! You were supposed to be working on It. You promised, it's way after April 17(?) and we have yet to see an update. Fling poo! Great to see more of your writing, and though I await your next chapter of The Ante wth baited breath, I understand not wanting to release something before you think it finished...and trying to find the time to finish it... anyway, I don't remember if I've reviewed before, I think I have... but just to let you know, I'm a big fan of your work on here. It's some of the best I've read (there are less than ten stories out of the thousands on this site about Rogue and/or Gambit that are actually worth the time it takes to read them, and yours is definitely one of them). That was a little complex. Basically too many expressions stuffed into every sentence.

And yet curiosity still gnaws away at me. Did Remy just blow up the gift without opening it? And how come the queen of hearts was missing from his deck? And why did that make it easier for him to blow up Roguie's gift?

I'm sorry for being annoying but i can't help it! And yes i really DO expect to be answered!

OMG! It's so Jacob Marley. I was so into this that my tea has gone cold, lol! I am so excited for an update to The Ante and this is such a perfect accompanyment. Bravo, my dear!

oh, i LOVED this. not only was the thought of remy obsessing over a present rather fun, but even more so was the idea of him all warpped up in a bow and nothing else... if rogue doesn't appreciate that, she can send him on over to me! ;)
but yes. nice foreshadowing, with the line about charging just by looking at the thing. and for some reason, i find remy talking to his cards as so very endearing...
and of course, i simply must comment on the homage to dickens, cuz i ADORED that. makes me want to go watch "a muppets' christmas carol". or maybe i'll save that for the weekend, cuz something tells me i'll need cheering up after an angstacular chapter. ;) best of luck with that!

I loved it! I like the jewel referrence, but I gotta tell you, of all of those potential choices, I'd take Remy wearing a red bow any day of the week.

I liked the Dickensesque style, btw. That was nice.

Curious as to what was in the box...I guess I'll just use my imagination...

Oh I've waited patiently expecting this while wondering if you'd do a Christmas tie-in like you did before. This is like being 6 again and wondering if I'd been good enough all year for Father Christmas to show. Knowing he did last year is all very well and good but ...

As for this little chapter o goodness ... makes me want to re-read "The Ante" all over again. I like his last idea for a pressy the best. I can just picture her expression now. :D
