AnalProbe 2009-09-14 . chapter 1Love this story. i simply just cant say enough how amazing it is - very, very well written (envious :[ ) |
Very Grateful 2009-08-24 . chapter 1 This is the best neverwinter nights fanfic out there
you got me so emotionally attached to the story and its characters
i really felt like i was in the story
i even got a little tearyeyed at the end (jerk lmao)
thank you so very much for this story |
Llandaryn 2008-11-28 . chapter 1This was the first ever NWN2 fanfic I read, and I thought it was awesome. At the time I wasn't registered, so I couldn't comment, but now that I can, I want to say that this story is beautiful and sad, and I enjoyed your accompanying artwork immensely.
I'm glad you started the story at the most interesting part, but in a way I miss the opening, and getting to know Harper half way through her character development. It would be great if you decided to write the beginning one day, so we can see how much Harper has changed (or hasn't changed, as the case may be) over time.
My only problem was that (IIRC), you had Harper's age at a couple of hundred years old, and yet in the NWN2 storyline, the battle at Westharbour was relatively recent, and the protagonist just a baby at the time. |
callalili 2008-08-07 . chapter 28Erk! I can't believe you killed them off! :( Great story, though the ending made me really sad (but not in a bad way). Loved your portrayal of Bishop. |
Wen 2008-04-23 . chapter 28 Very lovely and entertaining. I like Harper and her romance with Bishop. |
Restless Goddess 2008-03-30 . chapter 28I really like this story! I love Harper - she's so spunky! I haven't finished playing NWN2 though, so I can't wait to see what happens to my elven bard... |
 Iridaesin 2008-02-18 . chapter 1Loved it |
ParadoxPortal 2007-10-25 . chapter 28A very creative, fresh take on the OC. The romance is very bittersweet, and I really enjoyed both Harper and your portrayal of Bishop. Great emotion and depth, and the descriptions are just beautiful. Definitely one of my favorites. :D
Oh, and the songs you chose were very fun and appropriate. =) |
Kati Novak 2007-06-26 . chapter 1 I loved your story! And I absolutely adored the way you have Bishop in your story. I read it before I finished playing the game but I don't mind spoilers though I don't like the fact that everyone dies in the end (though I like how you made them survive in the sequel!:) ) It's really strange because I have a story that I'm writing and the one of the characters is really similar to Bishop even though I came up with my character long before NWN2 came out. Strange how these things work out... So i guess I have a special attachment to Bishop in this way. I also really loved the barter between Neeshka and Khelgar and Bishops comments are just great! Overall a really great story! Well done! |
Godii 2007-05-16 . chapter 28...That was beautiful. I loved it. The fight scenes were greatly detailed, as were the scenes with the actual dialogue from the game. Of course, I completely spoiled the ending for me (I haven't finished it yet) but from reading a forum on... err, something, I can't remember, I knew they were all probably going to die anyway.
It was the one of the best stories I've ever read (I couldn't keep away from my computer and I couldn't sleep... so I've been reading it since maybe 11 PM, and it's now 5 in the morning. I was overjoyed to find it was also a Bishop romance story. I absolutely love Harper, she was awesome and I love her name too. I like the use of Elvish (did Bishop really know Elvish?) but some of the words weren't translated and will bother me for the rest of my life (or at least until tomorrow.:D), like what Bishop says at the end of the 27th chapter... it looks like it says, "As you command, beautiful" but I could be wrong! (And I usually am.)
How you could pull a story like this from a game is beyond me. That was amazing. |
Pinguicha 2007-02-15 . chapter 28I remember reading this somewhere else and thinking it was good, but since I wasn't registred at the site, I couldn't review *sighs* The dooms of free internet registrations =/ Anyway, you've posted it here, so, YAY!
I liked the way you described things, as it's not too overly detailed nor repetitive, and the story has this... fluid way of progressing that is absolutely amazing; I also liked the bits you added into the Bishop's backstory and such; I has this minor (very minor) gripe as well when it came to his character, as it stays a bit out of what it was in the game. But hey, this is fanfiction, and after reading further, I came to enjoy it immensely because it's just... well, it's different.
As for the end, I loved it =) Sad, but still very, very good. And there's a sequel, so i'm going to start reading it. Now. =P |
Hekateras 2007-02-02 . chapter 28The last chapter, especially the song, had me sobbing like the emotional baby I am... :'( Even though I've read the sequel, it's all so damn *tragic*!
You really picked the right song here...Is The Parting Glass an actual song? I'd sure like to hear it sometime... Do you know if one can download it anywhere?
That had to be one of the best pieces of literature I've read, including non-fanfics. Thank you, thank you for taking your time to write this, and I hope you write more. O_O *puppy eyes* |
Wisprette 2007-01-17 . chapter 18This is really, REALLY good! I love the way you are handling Bishop. My first go-around with the game, I strictly did the Casavir romance, (though Bishop sure is a hottie!) but I was playing a paladin, and well, she fell in league with him. Now I have to play it again mushing up to Bishop! Your romance between Harper and Bishop are quite believable; never forgetting Bishop is chaotic evil. Outstanding! |
Aeryn Phoenix 2007-01-02 . chapter 26Okay, I'll admit it...the conversation between Daeghun and Harper made me cry. I'm a wuss, but still, VERY well done. |
Aeryn Phoenix 2006-12-28 . chapter 18Okay, this is going to sound SO petty, but I really hope you aren't planning on calling Ammon a "wizard" the whole time...he was a warlock, and that's sort of one of the reasons I loved his character so much in the game...like I said, PETTY, but it's one of those little things that breaks the flow for me. By the way, still loving this story, and I'm getting more and more anxious to see how it's going to end. Oh, and I echo what another reviewer said - I'm not a fan of first person, but you're really doing it justice. |
