sinister hospitable. at first it made me laugh, then i thought, duh hes from the victorian era and she is a willing test subject. i loved the part where he offered her tea, and the dr who ref. question though, since hes a geneticist, why didnt she ask him to get rid of the deathmark? side question, do you think elixir could, since his mutation is supposedly genetic based?

Thank you for your story that was both well written and original. I can't remember reading this kind of hero x villain pairing for some time, and with Sinister who isn't any of those regularly visiting characters. The only thing that left me wondering was how Sinister so willingly and fast let Rachel change him during their time together, yet his behaviour or manners had no effect on her. Surely, when any two people spend much time together, they both have some effect on each other... Anyway, just wanted to write some nice comments about a story that has become one of my favorite x-men fics :)

Absolutely awesome story - I've always love Sinister (he's so good-looking in a weird way), and the pairing's an excellent touch (says she who adores unusual couples).
But like The Bud, I'd love to see Rachel's mum come back - and perhaps herself hook up with someone similar (like Apocalypse - okay, don't thik I'm mad, I just like him too, and they'd make an awesome pair. Plus u can exploit how mother and daughter will interract because of their choice of men, and their guys have always been at each other's throats anyway - which could be quite the entertainment to watch again. It's only a suggestion though - but I'd truly love to see it...)

Absolutely brilliant. Reading this has reminded me of my long-forgotten love of Mr. Sinister from that terribly bad (and therefore awesome) cartoon from when I was a kid. I think he had pointy teeth in that one, which is a little ridiculous if you ask me.

Anyway! This is really an amazing piece you put together here. I’m always intrigued by how authors put together unconventional pairings and work out their psyche’s to see how they can end up together. What you have done is realistic and painful as you use both their strengths, and mostly their weaknesses, to bring them together. Your writing style is superb and it brings the reader in. You also have a tendency to use humor to diffuse what would rather be terribly tense situations, and that is always enjoyable. There were quite a few times when I laughed out loud (and, sadly, I was reading this in public so now everyone thinks I’m crazy).

I’m really looking forward to those promised one-shots. I’d actually like to see them go head to head again, such as Rachel tries to leave him for whatever reason (maybe just a misunderstanding) and his obsessive, possessiveness kicks in. I think Sinister’s obsession is what really drives him as a character, and now that she is his obsession I’d like to see that explored. You have such a beautiful way with words that I really hope you do go back to this pairing and write some more. I would be ever so thankful. I’d sing and dance, but very quietly, because rubber rooms do not interest me much.

A great ending to a great story.

You weren't kidding when you said your stories featuring 'mentally uneasy romance'. :) But this is so wonderfully written, the internal logic of this fic is flawless (as far as I can tell anyway) and Sinister became a 3-demsional character (not to mention somewhat attractive...in a very disturbing sorta way... lol...I'm kinda freakin myself out here).

In short this is a fantasic story! I absolutly adore it. ^_^
