i can actually imagine shampoo sadly whispering in mandarin. her voice would be melodious and unbroken, and a whole lot more graceful than speaking the foreign japanese tongue.
very nicely written. very sincere, and very human.

Heather B. Kytes 2003-12-06 . chapter 1Hi, hi! I followed your review link to your profile, and here I am, finally with some spare time on my hands to read fanfiction. :)
Unfortunately, I don't read Inu-Yasha stories as neither the anime nor the manga captured my interest. In fact, I've never seen Ranma, either. However, since I saw how short this introspection piece was, I decided to give it a shot (and heck, the summary for it is clever).
This is nice, quietly moving and unassuming. I especially liked the poetic bits at the beginning and end about tears. It's so sad that one person can alter the way someone sees the world completely. I got a sense of the girl's sorrow and frustration at having lost something she wanted to someone so unlike herself. Erm, I hope that made sense. I'm kinda beat. :b
Um, long story short, nice job. ^^ |

I like your style. You're very, very good.
>In our tribe, women are always superior,
>
Well, from what I can tell, it's 'The Village of Female Heros', but I've never read in the manga that women are totally superior to men, and not allow men to be emancipated.
This is an idea introduced by fanfiction and not canon.
Other than that, I can't find anything wrong.
A good read.
