 marielabbott 2007-10-31 . chapter 1Terrific, absolutely terrific! |
MKofGod 2007-02-13 . chapter 1Great story! It was interesting to see how their lives would have turned out if they hadn't chosen the paths they did. It was cool to see how it would have effected the universe in total. Wonderful job! |
Laura-trekkie 2007-01-10 . chapter 1Well, belated merry Christmas and apologies for the lateness of my fb.
Excellent fic. The 'real' moments were interesting, with the team all out of sorts, even going so far as to start fighting! Only to be interrupted by a man who shouldn't even be there. I liked his disregard for everyone's threats/intelligence/questions and found myself chuckling at several of his dry comments. His story, after they'd all awoken from their own nightmares, was sad and I liked that the team were once more united and even went back to invite Eelon. It was a bit of a mystery that he'd apparently never even been real, but I'm glad he helped them all realise they were where they should be.
As for the team, each person's nightmare was harrowing and yet very apt, each person having done something that was entirely plausible: Rodney picking music; Ronon, just this once, running instead of fighting; Teyla, just this once, deciding not to help; John never taking the first step down the path of 'leave no man behind'. I liked how they each managed to meet some version of the others in their nightmares, but in the wrong circumstances and I liked that it ultimately proved that they shouldn't doubt themselves as it could've easily been much worse.
Nice happy team togetherness at the end and a good story for Christmas time. |
drufan 2007-01-09 . chapter 1Sing us a song your the piano man! Oh what a lovely story indeed. Was that a bell at the end; did a Nox get his wings or mossy hair? A late review but a wonderful story for anytime of year! I laughed, I cried, it was much better than Cats. I will read it again and again. ;) |
 LdyAnne 2006-12-27 . chapter 1That was just wonderful! |
angw 2006-12-27 . chapter 1LOL a very appropriate present for Rodney - “How to Survive Almost Anything.” |
mouse8 2006-12-26 . chapter 1Thanks for the Christmas present and I hope you found something to your liking in your stocking. Lovely twist on a Christmas favourite! |
SqueakyChewToy 2006-12-26 . chapter 1'until the power system shut down and the entire city was on the verge of sinking below the waves.'
Cos it's never easy, is it? Loved this story, as usual! |
Trishkafibble 2006-12-25 . chapter 1Oh, girl, you have outdone yourself! What a wonderful way to round out my Christmas Day: with liketheriver angsty-aws, gigglychortles, and happysighs, and a lovely yelp of laughter at that final tasty plotmorsel...! (Sorry, Christmas--and perhaps this bottle of hard lemonade--makes me giddy!! ^^ ) Merry SlightlyAfterChristmas!! Cheers! XD |
 OXBastetXO 2006-12-25 . chapter 1Absolutely wonderful story...as usual. :-D
Very sweet Christmas tale! |
sgafan33 2006-12-25 . chapter 1 That was a great take on the "It's a Wonderful Life" theme. You took a lot of care in creating the AUs of each character. All very plausible in the SG world. And your character voices were spot on, as always. Thanks for writing this. |
 Stealth Dragon 2006-12-25 . chapter 1That was awesome. |
Feral Geek 2006-12-25 . chapter 1Great story, I love reading your fic, always an instant fav! |
abharding 2006-12-25 . chapter 1Very nice. I liked how each of the possible AU worked and the consquences of the choices each of the characters made.
Some high points - I like how Rodney, even as a musician was still basically the same guy - a snarky profectionist. And I liked how his best friend in that reality was very much like Sheppard.
I liked how in Ronon, Teyla's and even Sheppard's dreams the other characters were there - or at least mentioned. I liked the idea of McKay leading a protest (something I could see him doing if he were pushed far enough) and how in Sheppard's dream he and McKay hit it right off. |
BeckyS 2006-12-25 . chapter 1Okay, that was, in John Sheppard's inimitable style, "Cool!" Thank you very much! Becky |
