I really like this. I love getting a look into Max's mind, not just because it's rare to see fic for him, but because you write his view very well.

I also like the way you described the teacup. Maybe that's silly of me, but the comment about it being one piece of china to actually survive their adventures made me laugh.

I like how I had to re-read every line just to make sure it was Max you were talking about. Sounds wierd, but that's what I liked about it, the vagueness of it. Love to see some more.
