2006-12-26 . chapter 1Wow... that sucked so very... hard. Reading that was like watching "comedian" Brian Regan: not funny, and very painful. Please for the love of God don't call this humor. That's a crime, you little fan-fictioner.
Let's start off with the basics. First of all, it's incredibly random. Random= Funny, right? WRONG. Over-randomness can kill a story, as your fiction explictly proves. There's a fine line between "that's mildly amusing that that character is acting so odd" and "why are random characters acting painfully OOC?" and you crossed it several times over. Is it supposed to be funny that normally serious characters are replaced with hyperactive and/or mentally unstable children? Not it the slightest. The only similarity is the names, man. Learn to effectively use OOC, or don't. It's risky, and in your case, the risks don't pay off.
Why am I ranting at you about this little story? Why does it bother me? Maybe it's just because humor fics on this damn site aren't, well, HUMOROUS! People churning out crap like this only hurts the already bad reputation of this site. I refuse to be like everyone else, accepting filth like this as legitimate work. As acceptable! Reviews shouldn't be a place where people just praise your low quality work! It's a place where critiques are given and listened to.
So please, think before you write. Put some thought into your work. Because as it stands, this is a thoughtless hack- job. And writing stuff like this is only hurting your overall abilities, as it teaches you that stuff like this is acceptable.
I'd love to hear what you have to say in response to my points. then again, you probably won't respond. I don't mean this as a personal attack (I'm sure you're very nice). But quality counts.
