I understand how disheartening it can be to give up on a story, but i do think you are doing the right thing. Good ideas take time. They require research, development, and practice. But I can tell that you are smart and talented enough that if you apply yourself, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.

And if do you decide take another stab at the story in the future, let me know. I've been told that i have a pretty good handle on the Avatar characters and I'd be happy to help.
