Le Four Origional Dragons!

Me like. For some reason (a large part due to Tamer Terra and to Avi17 as well,) I'm totally immersed in fantacies of where the four came from, and their stories. Everyone was sort of portrayed differently, from Wuya being... as you put... Feral, to Guan's all-play-no-work-but-still-totally-loyal attitude.

Interesting setup for the story, too, starting out with images to make the world seem younger and more mystic-like, running through the traditions that made their world different from ours, and ending with the birth of (who we know now as) Dojo.

I particularly like how the last word of the story is 'beginning', sort of like "The four were given powers, and sent to protect the world from evil, a present from a mystical god-like dragon to the mortal realms, as they begin their story."

Maybe that's why you posted the story on Xmas day? :3

Sorry if this review runs a little long. What I'm trying to get at here is "Wow, this is a really good story and I enjoyed reading it immensly!" but I couldn't just say that without rambling, because I never can. Anyways, I hope I maybe get to read another story written by you soon, and wish you luck with future... uh... Scribblings, I guess.

I like this a lot. Each drabble reads like an ancient myth. Really nicely done.

I've always loved seeing pictures of the original gang. Now I finally got the chance to READ about it. It makes me sad that this was a oneshot, but it was fun while it lasted. _ *throws the original!Dragons plushies*

I don't see how you could continue it, but I enjoyed the fic, and wish there was more. :D

The explinations for the miscillanious(sp?) legends and other things are great. It really brings the story to life. I hope you can do something else with this particular setting and story, because it would be a shame to have this be the only thing showcasing it. KIU!

On one hand, I'm a little depressed that this is only a one-shot.

On the other, I'm not really sure how you could continue this without turning it into an epic of some sort.

:3 I feel special now...and I definitely love you for this story. Very, very cool idea- completely different from how I imagined, but I absolutely love it! And I love the idea of the Ki-Lin- particularly because it explains Guan's immortality, which I've been struggling and researching to attempt to find an explanation for for AGES. And I love how you wrote each scene as a separate drabble, yet they all seemed to fit together. Great job! :D

*snuffles happily* I love how you had them pair up as they would eventually oppose, and the explanation for 'everyone speaks english' and 'how they manage to live for 1500 years' in the show. XD

And how you we have similarities in our mythologies for them. Glad I'm not the only one to propose foundinacave!Wuya, fromarichfamily!Dashi, wantstolearn!Chase and farmboy!Guan. XD

And yay for ending with the birth of Dojo. _
