Uhh... judging from every date I've been on and every platonic opposite-sex friendship (if such a thing exists) I've had, that's actually "female logic." :)

Speaking as a man, though, I can say that Tommy's reaction was perfectly sensible. :)

Anyway, GREAT story. REALLY original idea... the "Joe-Cool-after-school-breaking-the-rules" motif was just BRILLIANT. Probably the only decent pre-letter Tommy/Kimberly fic I've read (and that's a shame... it was such a great relationship back then!) Wish ideas like this popped into my own head more often!

Oh, and... GREAT ENDING.

(To be 100% honest, though, I did like the first chapter a bit better, but only because the sexual tensions in the Hawaii and Tokyo scenes were kind of cheapened respectively by Tommy's quip about prophylactics and by Trini's remark about making a decision as an adult. Also, while I find Kimberly's stance on her virginity to be believable [and in my opinion laudable], the juxtaposition with the Tokyo scene [i.e., J/Tr the same ages as To/K and just two weeks in] does kind of make Jason look a bit bestial and Trini a bit trampish.)

Have I told you yet how much I love this? I don't think I have but now I'm going to, gosh darnitall.

I love this like burning. If I could snuggle it, I would.

It's so much fun to see usually-down-to-Earth Tommy acting like a real teen... you've got to know they've thought about it at least once or twice! The ability to teleport anywhere? Psh "personal gain" rules...

(I'd have made an awful Power Ranger, I guess!)

Plus, with his bit of "White-Knight-Complex" ;) you know it was bugging him more than he let on in the episode(s) that he couldn't be there for her.

Little lines like this: "This would be just about the most politically incorrect, underhanded thing Tommy had ever done without the influence of evil alien magic." really make the stories more believable. Minus the first episode, the Rangers seem to take most everything in stride. I like how your show a side of them (time travel? summoning giant robots with a flute/dagger? spandex?) that makes them seem a bit more human.

*cracks up* Aisha's response was priceless. "Are you sure he's not evil?" And then of course, the checklist for ways to tell... and the pointed out her not knowing those other times...

The differences in "bad" was a nice touch, too _

And aw to him talking about his fears and stuff! I WANT TO TRADE IN MY HUSBAND FOR THE TOMMY YOU WRITE.

(does that make me a bad wife?)

(on a side note, I always feel there should be SOME critique in there, so just pointing out a few tense issues. Nothing that bugged me, but there now I feel like a good, well-rounded reviewer.)

this has to be the most romantic story i have ever read...it is just beautiful!

I love this story! I love the way you envision the old MMPR days, and by adding in the other ranger players (especially the old) makes it even better. I vastly prefer T/K stories that include the other rangers and the elements of being a ranger. It just never feels right when that huge aspect of the two characters is left out or rarely touched since being rangers is what brought them together and was a big part of their lives while they were together.

Anyway, I hope you continue to venture into their ranger past every once in a while. You do it so well.

This story was so great, I love it. So cool to see the perfect leader Tommy breaking the rules using his heart and other parts of his body ;-) instead his brain. Sweet, with a few surprises and funny, Great as always.

Oh, what a ride! The whole Tommy/Jason situation was priceless. I laughed so hard, especially with their denial of the whole thing. Thanks for completing another great story. Now I'm waiting on another Comes To Darkness update.

Haha! Very cute. The Rangers really don't get any advantage out of their service, do they? They travel all over the galaxy, but only on missions. Gifted with super strength and speed, but all they get out of it are mysterious bruises they need to explain to curious parents. It's nice to see them sneak some fun with the teleporter. And I love Kim and Aisha's reactions... "Are you sure he's not evil?"

Oh wow this drew me in. I hope you finish it. I can't wait to see where they go next and if they get caught.
