After long hard thought, I think it's CJ, and Josh she's written the letter to. And she married Danny? I really loved this story, and was wondering who you had in mind when you wrote it?

great story, so sad though. I really, really, really want to know who you had in mind when you wrote this. Everyone has their speculations. I thought at first that it was a Sam/Josh/Donna pairing, but after reading everyone else's thoughts I have concluded that it could be a Toby/CJ/Danny pairing as well. Please put us all out of our misery!

my original guess was CJ and Toby.. but that was a josh and donna scene.. and perhaps a Danny CJ 'reporter comment' But donna wouldn't leave Josh.. Donna wouldn't still hang out with Dr. B... but CJ would.. so.. CJ Toby still stands. I wanna know!

I loved the fic though. Very good, very bittersweet. I am, of course, curious as to who this fic is actually written about. Let me know please, if you want to keep it a secret though I can respect that. Keep writing, you have a good style.

Okay, just from reading the first chapter, and I know there is more I'm going to make my guess and say who I think this is going to about.

The letter was written by CJ, for Toby after she broke up with him and married Danny.

The story was just near the top of the list when I got online so I didn't do any character searches or anything like that so my guess is completely based on the first chapter. I guess I'll find out if I'm right or not when I read the following chaptes.

Oh well, guessing is fun, even if I'm wrong in the end.

This is such a well written story. Especially The letter. I would love to know who the couple is. I think the letter was from Donna to Sam and that Donna married Josh. Or it could be the other way around. But the letter sounded so much like Donna.

And here I thought it was CJ writing Danny about her and Toby falling for each other. Originally I thought it might be Donna writing Sam about her and Josh, but the "different plans" bit didn't work.

Oh my god! SAD! Seeing as I'm a big J/D fan I would have to say that it was probably josh redaing the letter from Donna who had probably married Sam. Still extremely sad, but good!

Oooh, please tell me who it is! *whines, kicks, beats fists* I WANNA KNOW WHO IT WAS! Tell me tell me tell me tell me... um you get the point. Anyways, this was excellent writing (although it would've been less confusing if you'd taken the italics off when the letter ended) and I'd like to see more from you. I totally got it! It has to be Sam and Lisa. Their relationship is the only one we know about that has failed (except for Leo and Jenny - but Jenny wouldn't refer to the Bartletts that way, and Donna and Dr. Freeride, but Donna would not speak to him so nicely after what he had done). The consensus in fan fiction land is that Lisa was a freerider herself and she and Sam broke up after he got of the law partner path. It is also assumed that Sam was the dumpee and the letter just fits. This is the couple I thought of right away...So this is my two cents. I'd love to hear who the author was actually writ'n about...

First off, great story. Sad, but well written and enjoyable nonetheless. Now, for the guessing game! Mm . . . well, it isn't the Bartlets, that's for sure. It isn't Jenny and Leo, because Jenny wouldn't call the Bartlets "the President & Dr. Bartlet" . . . Mallory's not the woman, since she wouldn't have been leaving Washington. The thing about them both leaving Washington makes me think it's two senior staffers (as opposed to, say, a certain someone and *Danny*). So, I'm gonna guess it's CJ and Toby. Anyway, great story.
