This was a great story. Yesterday while I was reading this my mom made me go to bed and finish reading after i came home from school the next day. I nearly died because i needed to know what was gonna happen. This story was sooooooooo dramatic that i couldn't stop reading so i just pretended to go to bed and kept reading. My mom found out and I was grounded (I'm currently in the closet hoping my mom doesn't find out i'm using the computer) but it was totally worth it.

Anyway, I just wanted to say before I started telling you about stuff you probably don't care about that you are an amazing writer and this was an amazing fanfic. I can't wait to read some of your other work. Keep up the good work! :DDDD

Whoa! Awesome first chapter. I did NOT expect that kind of a start the the story. You've really captured my attention.

I love how the relationships are being set up and how canon you're keeping the characters. Excellent!

the characters were developed extremely well and it's not often you find (good) fanfic written from Percy's POV

This story was riveting, but the plot hinges on Voldemort being stupid, which he isn't. And what exactly did Dumbledore gain from putting Percy through this ordeal? Didn't last six months, and anybody could have predicted that.

I still loved it, though. Percy is one of my favorite characters. He doesn't have the twins's charm, but he doesn't have their criminal characters, either. (They used Ron's pet puffskein for a bludger? And Ron adores them. Maybe *Ron* would make a good Death Eater, he seems to have the attitude down!)

Finding it impossible not to loathe and despise Dumbledore, here. His explanation of why he didn't punish Sirius Black in proportion to what he did amounts to: Because I cared about him and his buddies and I didn't care about you-and I still don't.

Furthermore, it's hogwash. If Black had been expelled, the powerful Black family would have launched an investigation that would surely have resulted in the Headmaster being replaced. Does anybody believe that the Board of Directors approved admitting a werewolf?

Dumbledore would have lost 1) his center of operations, 2) opportunities to recruit, 3) his credibility in the Wizarding World as Mr. Knows-All-Sees-All, 4) probably his position on the Wizangamot, and 5) very possibly his freedom, as in prison. So he acted to protect himself, but is too much the hypocrite to admit it to Severus, who would probably accept it as a legitimate motivation.

This also explains why Dumbledore didn't lift a finger to help Sirius Black when he was railroaded into Azkaban.

But leaving that aside, it's clear from canon that Lupin is the ONLY werewolf ever educated at Hogwarts. Clearly Dumbledore had learned his lesson, and so much for "preparing the way for other unfortunates."

I've never read a Percy-centric fic before. I like it a lot. Your characterization seems right on. Off to read the sequel.

There is but one thing that is plaguing me. Dumbledore carelessly suggesting to Percy that he should be a spy. As far as my impression of Dumbledore is, he doesn't seem to be the kind of person who would deliberately endanger a person's life in such a way. Especially when Percy has no training whatsoever in subterfuge and the like.
