I didn't realise it was a whole slew of the brotherhood when I started, as other Broterhood stories that I have read havnt appealed to me, but your story... was great! Once I got the hang of who was what...lol, it really was good? Is there going to be a follow on story about the guys in the pub?
Thanks

Oh man, I LOVE Josh!

He without a doubt is a wonderful addition to your wonderful cast of side characters.

So Josh is destined to be the herbist adviser to the Triad . I wonder if Josh can cook and that’s his deep dark secret. The same herbs that have used for spell making and cooking since time began. Rosemary is said to ward off evil, makes a great flavoring, and is a good antiseptic. Any good army runs on its stomach. Not to mention with Dean’s drug allergies it might be useful to a herbist around.

I hope Josh’s future position doesn’t affect his relationship with Caleb. Their relationship is SO perfect the way it is. Not necessarily based on them being best a bud or even friends but there is the glimmer of a mutual respect there. I also get the impression Josh has a clue who was chosen the next Guardian too and he seems okay with it.

I am kind of hoping we see Dean and Josh warm up to each other eventually a much to Caleb’s annoyance.

Keep up the great work!

Wow! This was great! I loved the way that you tied it in with "Who Your Friends Are", among other stories. You've really got me wondering about Griffin--especially with the obvious reference to him in Sam's last vision. Wonderful job by both of you!

What I love about your brotherhood storys is that they are all small storys part of a bigger picture. I so want to see what this griffin guy's up to.

Man, I love the brotherhood. Caleb is just awesome and I'm at a loss of words for Josh. I'm still totally in love with the guy... His non-stoping inapropriate remarks, his spoiled-rich boy personality... And what's with all the "no blood on the Victor Hugo shirt" or "no vomit on the what's-his-name fancy designer shoes" ?? laughed a lot... the guy is such a character!

I'm sorry though for the boys cutting him absolutely no slack at all. But I guess that's the way it has to be with them inheriting the old grudge John seemed to hold against Sawyer's father and the whole beating Caleb story...

I know I say this in every review but I do love Josh's relationship with Caleb. I wish you showed a bit more of that in your fics... Cuz I think they're great being friends - or almost, anyway - but I just can't figure out why would Caleb forgive him. It's not like Joshua has a personality that makes someone like Caleb want to forgive him.

Anyway, you write Sam and Dean perfectly. And your plots are so perfect, they could be from the actual show. Although I think your plot is a little more complex.

By the way, the whole "Save the Knight, save the Brotherhood" thing... Still laughing my ** of, bout that... Heroes so rules! By the way, if you're making references to Heroes, the whole name thing, like "Sawyer" and "Boone" are references for Lost too?

Just one last thing (I'm ending this gigantic review soon, I swear!) I love the fact your created an alternative bar for the Roadhouse... Although I like Ellen and do buy the whole her being a strong, indepent woman thing, it's just great to see the boys go to a Jo-less bar. Man, thar girl annoys me! Liked Boone and his not-wife much better LOL

I am making my way through all your stories, sorry I didn't review logged in before, but now I just had to because I wanted to put you on my favorite author's list. Awesome job with this, I said it before but I love the bond between all of them. I loved it!

I really liked this one, especially at the beginning when Sam and Dean were arguing about whether or not Dean is a cynic or a realist. I've had that one with my sister before and I always seem to be on the Dean end of it. Awesome story.

I love your stories and this one seems like it's gonna be a good one but what's the Brotherhood all about? I've heard about it in a lot of fanfics but I never understood what it was. Can you help me get some info on it? Please?

Hi Ridley,

Congratulations to you and Tidia for writing such wonderful stories. I immensely enjoyed the different perspectives of both Caleb’s point of view and then from Dean and Sam’s POV. You and Tidia have fleshed Caleb Reaves so well.
I can also totally ‘see in my mind the relationship between Caleb and John, Caleb and Mac, and Caleb and Dean.

Your characterizations of ‘The Brotherhood’ are fabulous. For me, their bond, their chemistry jump off the screen when I am reading your stories.

However, the character that intrigues me the most is Joshua Sawyer. He reminds me a bit of Ezra P. Standish from The Magnificent Seven TV series. He is a slick public relations man.(sort of like a con artist, as Ezra was.) But Josh is also a hunter and Caleb does trust Joshua at least a little. Sam reminded Dean of this when they went to search for Sawyer to help out Caleb. Yes, Caleb and Josh don’t always get along and Josh helped beat up Caleb when they were younger though it seems that Reaves gave Sawyer a second chance. I wonder if the beating could have had something to do with Joshua’s upbringing?

Could Josh’s father that he mentioned while at the ‘BooneDocks’ be like Maude Standish?

Before I forget, I’d like to tell you that I prefer Boone’s place to the other locale and characters of the series second season.

Back to Joshua, it sounds like he wants to really be a part of the tight-knit circle between Caleb, Dean and Sam when he asks if he also is invited to the New Year’s party or he is whining about having a nickname.

Joshua does care about Caleb and the others, though he hides it behind his ‘smart-aleck, sleek personality.

Sawyer did bring a doctor to see Caleb and I believe him when he said he would never to do anything to endanger the Knight. Josh also went with Sam to see that woman who poisoned Caleb. He topped bickering with Sam when Sam reminded him that Caleb could die and they got down to business. He did make the potion for Caleb to get better once the hunters found out what they needed to know from the woman. He was smart enough to get away from Dean before Dean could get to him once Caleb woke up. He also knows he had been set up and fed that tip about the cult. Maybe Josh could be a good uncover hunter, after all who are these three men talking about taking the brotherhood down? Who are they working for? Caleb, Dean and Sam think that Joshua is an idiot but is he really? Or is it a persona that he hides behind?

The line about the ATF made me laugh because it made me think of Mog’s AU for the M7.

We want to know how ‘The Brotherhood’ is going to get “Prince Samuel’ back from Conner. It broke my heart when Conner refused to take Dean with him.

Might we also get to see the brothers Taylor and Cade White from your scrumptious story, ‘Heroes’ again?

Ridley, thank you for sharing your awesome creativity with us and are eagerly awaiting your new stories

Paloma

P.S. Yea, two new stories to catch up on after class and work later today.

more SQUEEGUH*thud*-ing. I'm going to wake my boy up with all this excitement, but HOLY **. awesome. AWESOMEAWESOMEAWESOME. kudos to BOTH of you for an excellent pseudo-ending. and I say pseudo only because I know you're going to follow it up so we can all find out who those three mysterious plotters are.

and I LOVED that, by the way, especially because they were talking about the Guardian, and that would be Dean, and anything about Dean has me instantly hooked. ^_^

man, it was actually kind of sad watching Dick Clark this year...

but this was AWESOME. (I'm so sensitive.)

you do the dynamic between all of them so well, I just can't say enough about it. congradulations on a job WELL done.

ohh, poor baby!! damn.

...somehow I still feel worse for Dean (and Sammy too). but sometimes it's worse to be the one left behind.

and we all know Dean would blame himself. it would completely kill him. and then that would kill Sammy. Caleb can't die! nobody can die! they're all so connected to each other that any one of them gone would totally break them all. ah! this is horrible. but so GOOD.

ahh! I love the Heroes reference. that show is almost as good as Supernatural, and it's got the brother thing going for it too. yay.

I know I really should be feeling sorry for Caleb since he's the sick one (and I do), but I'm feeling more that way towards Dean. >_<
ah, but of course, a Dean girl to the end.

LOVE.

oh man, that was great. (of course.)

poor Caleb. poor Dean. poor everybody, man, they all suffer so much.

...but you do it so beautifully I'm not about to start hoping for mercy. ^_^

I am in no way fit to deliver a decent review (not that I ever am) so you'll probably get a better one once I find more time to read the other chapters, but so far I have to say I LOVE IT! (but again I say: of course.)

I have so loved these two stories! You've both done a wonderful job! I told Tidia that it was like a Christmas present to your fans, like me.

I'm very interested in who those other guys might be and am looking forward to more about that at some time. I'll be here waiting when you get to it.

Thanks for this ride!
