Yay, Saisa! And in a wonderfully tight, solid, delicious one-shot. I love that Saitou doesn't give an inch, even when he's offering dinner. And of course Sano's impeccable pride, mixed in with that damnable admiration that makes this pairing so impossibly perfect. :)

Heh, this is really cute (hell, anything with a flustered Sano in it is cute!) I think you've done a wonderful job of portraying Sano's feelings after Saitou's "death" here. The fact that he was doing more than merely visiting the guy's grave is touching and it's just like Sano to be so strapped for cash that he'd humiliate himself by admitting it.

My favourite line would have to be: "There was a bit where they didn’t talk for a while, where Sano finished off the last of his sake and Saitou went on not smoking, but then the sake was gone and Saitou was still there and so Sano had to ask..." It's so run-on and garbled, just like I'd imagine Sano's thoughts to be (even if he wasn't semi-drunk!)
