| Nari-chan SND 2007-02-08 ch 15, | abuseGreat chapter! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. It's good to know that Rodwen's okay. It would have been really sad if she had died and Aniror had actually succeeded in making Erthor's life wrecked. I feel really bad for Faramir in the fact that he's stuck in a lose-lose situation in terms of Aniror. However, it's nice to see that he's being the better person and giving her a home instead of letting her be all alone, not that she doesn't deserve that. I wonder how it will all turn out for them... By the way, I just need to make a comment about your writing. You do a great job with your descriptions, diction, and character development for both the canon characters and the OCs. I love how you keep the canon characters in character and how you make your OCs realistic and multifaceted. Anyways, I can't wait for the sequel! :) ~Nari |
| enkemeniel 2007-02-08 ch 15, anon. | abuseargh! Boromir was right... should have just left her... but then again, if he did, then there won't be the sequal. Hmm... |
| Sarahbarr17 2007-02-08 ch 15, | abuseM...he is taking her to Gondor? I wonder what daddy and folk in the White City will have to say about that! Aniror commited a terrible act of betrayal by allowing the Orcs to get close to Lorien undetected. She does not deserve so much pity, I cannot help but feel. An excellent final chapter. Galadriel was superbly portrayed. Hugs, Sarah x |
| MerryKK 2007-02-08 ch 15, | abuseWow! Great ending, and I can't wait for the sequel! Angsty, eh? I love angst. And how could one write a Faramir story without it? ;-) I have to say that I am in awe of what you have done with Aniror. Have you read the Silmarillion? Aniror doesn't remind me of anybody in there in particular, but her tormented/imperfect character reminds me of what Tolkien did in there with so many characters. You are definitely following in his footsteps with how you characterize, for while Aniror has huge character flaws, you manage to make me not only pity her, but care about her future. I loved Galadriel's line about pity not being a weakness. Part of me can't wait to see Aniror and Denethor meet, as I would think there would be sparks flying...just the thought makes me grin. But then, you said the sequel would be tragic, so maybe it won't be that funny. Still, I've always wondered how Denethor would react to meeting a strong-willed woman, being so overbearing himself. Good luck! :-) |
| Awen1923 2007-02-08 ch 15, | abuseHmm...I think Faramir will regret his decision. But we shall see. I am looking forward to your next story. It sounds like it will be interesting and I can't help but wonder what fate awaits Aniror. |
| Awen1923 2007-02-07 ch 14, | abuseOohh...the last chapter sounds exciting. And just when you think Aniror can't get any lower...she does. I am sure Boromir was relieved to have Faramir back and ready to return home. Can't wait for the next chapter. |
| MerryKK 2007-02-06 ch 14, | abuseAh, how wonderful it was to get another chapter! :-) |
| Katia0203 2007-02-06 ch 14, | abuseAH! A cliffhanger! And Aniror is being EVIL AGAIN! UGH!! Gosh, all she cares about is revenge...why can't she just LEARN that seeking revenge doesn't work?! *whew* I'm done. Hehe. Anyway, lovely, exciting chapter! I do wonder why Rodwen just took Aniror's word without asking anyone else for confirmation. You'd think she'd have double-checked?? I don't know... UPDATE SOON! Namarie, KT |
| enkemeniel 2007-02-06 ch 14, anon. | abuseOh no! That Aniror is turning out to be really foul! |
| Nari-chan SND 2007-02-06 ch 14, | abuseOh! A cliffhanger! I hope Rodwen will be alright; what Aniror did to her was very cruel. I wonder how Erthor will react if he ever finds out that Aniror intentionally lied to put Rodwen in potential peril. This story is so riveting and I love how it keeps the reader guessing! Keep up the good work and please update soon! ~Nari |
| MerryKK 2007-02-04 ch 13, | abuseOoh, great chapter! Aniror is so manipulative and yet so pitiable, it is no wonder that Faramir reacts how he does. And Faramir is perfect again: strong and angry, but quick to pity and under control of himself. The tension was well-handled too: not too exciting as to be unbelievable, but not dull by any means. Great job! |
| Katia0203 2007-02-04 ch 13, | abuseWow...I really do pity Aniror. She is really, as Faramir says, a poor lowly creature. That she would resort to lies in order to find happiness...its so sad. Its amazing how my emotions change along with the characters. At first I felt pure anger toward Aniror, but that changed along with Faramir's discovery of the truth...I began to sort of understand why she did what she did (though that doesn't make it any better), and now I feel that same pity...as much as this surprises me to say, I would not mind if (in your sequel, which you are writing, I presume?) you allowed Aniror to find happiness, whether that means with a lover or just a good friend. I think that everyone deserves a 2nd chance to fix their lives, even someone as vile as Aniror. But first she needs to realize the error of her ways, talk to Galadriel about what she's discovered about herself, and slowly purify who she is. Have her undergo some huge development. Of course there would be conflict with that-people wouldn't believe that she really changed, old anger would still be there, she would feel urges to be the old Aniror, etc. A nice drama could come out of that. Anyway, enough of my rambling ;) I can't wait to read Ch. 14! Namarie, KT |
| Awen1923 2007-02-04 ch 13, | abuseNice chapter. I agree with Faramir on this one...I do pity her. She has spent all this time seeking vengenance and waisting her life only to realize her plans have failed. I am glad Faramir stood strong and did not give in to her temptation. Boromir will be glad of it I am sure. Hope to read more soon. |
| enkemeniel 2007-02-04 ch 13, anon. | abusePoor Boromir must have been so frustrated! *hugs* |
| Sarahbarr17 2007-02-04 ch 13, | abuseAahh... sweet poetic justice! She is finally getting a taste of her own medecine! Hugs, Sarah x |
