XD I liked it. Nasty parents. Poor Akemi. You did the voices pretty well, I think. I'm not sure why the governor went along with the crazy American anachronism, but hey. I'll cut some slack. Poor Akemi, try not to fall in love with Sou any more than you can help, K? Quite apart from you being two in a list of seven, you wouldn't suit him. You're a bit of a child. And you make do. If Soujiro ever does anything approaching settling down with anyone, it'll be someone with big ideas. Just not...uh...FIREY ideas. Eheh.

Oh, and I do appreciate Soujiro saving someone from fire. Heh. Whether you meant it or not, it has this vague taste of unfocused irony... I bet he misses Shishio and Yumi and all sometimes. I would. Apart from always having enough to eat and new sandals and stuff, I get the feeling Shishio was actually a pretty good boss to have. I mean, if you don't mind all that killing people and taking over Japan at the expense of the weak business. I mean, he called the kid by a nickname. They were practically friends. Or something.

I don't know if that's the best idea, Kuroda-san...anyone who's opeated the way Tatsuya has is several pegs short and not that safe to be around. Though I do understand, arirang, that this was really the only not-completely-horrible way to end it once Tatsuya was a murderous lunatic. Hm. The descriptions of the husbands struck me as good. So? Who's he meeting next?

funny...got a feeling it's the guy who told soujiro 'bout the storie of her late husbands.

^^ This is going to be a long story...but that's more than okay! Bit of a filler chapter - whoops, Sou, how awkward, but luckily the lady is very accepting and doesn't tend to think all that deeply. In terms of writing, the relationship is a little too much like Kenshin and Kaoru's in the beginning of the manga to qualify as outstanding within this genre, but it's certainly not BAD by any stretch of the imagination. Sou isn't as...well, as unstable as I expect of him, but that is at your discretion. The tea thing in the previous chapter made me think of the way Nick is about his coffee in Deep Secret, so I went and read that the other day. The syndrome seems unlikely, but not impossible, within the atmosphere in Shishio's entourage. And, of course, he can waive the necessity when he likes. (The rascal.) Are my reviews even getting through? Looking forward to the next chapter - but don't rush! (Unless you thrive on rushing, of course. Some people do, heaven knows how...) :)
