Wow - the thoughts of what Roy is really up to are making me nervous. He seems to be putting all his affairs in order, as if he didn't expect to be around after everything is over. Really good chapter all around. You write all the characters so well. I feel for Hawkeye, and for Havoc, especially at the end.

ack... what is Roy planning? The suspense is killing me! I mean... I THINK I have at least some inkling... but... ack...!

"Uncle Roy" was a bit of a shock to my system, but undeniably adorable in a way that made a big, goofy grin crawl across my face.

I like the little, brief glimpses at Roy's stay in the hospital... The one where he's ranting about Archer needing better aim really hit home... well done.

And yep, it's official: Lance is awsome and Laura is coming around. Cash I've always liked, but the scene with the council was great. He reminded me of an over-enthusiastic college professor.

I just read all four chapters at ::looks at the clock:: around 5 in the morning and I just KNOW that I'm going to lie awake thinking about it when I finally do scurry off to bed. This story is incredibly engaging and very well written. I absolutely LOVE your characterizations of Mustang and Havoc. And poor Mustang, he's so angsty... (god, I love it!)

I'll admit that I sort of groaned inwardly when the OC's Lance and Lauren were introduced, but they've grown on me. I really like Lance (and in my head, he is HOT

I just found this. Very interesting story. There's a lot of Havoc and I like it. Also maybe we need Edward around for the countless explosions. :D Will the elrics be returning? Can't wait to find out what happens next.

One of my "criteria" before buying or borrowing a book is smelling the paper used in a book. If a book has that distinct smell that I like, I borrow or buy it. I really like Scieszka very much. She, Yumiko Readman, and the Paper Sisters will really get along well.

I was holding my breath the whole time at the last paragraphs, where Delacouer touched the large transmutation circle. Poor Lance. And Laura. And Cash. Keep updating! ;)

My bad- at first I thought there were four chapters installed and I said that I'd review on the fifth one... Oh well.

Anywho, it turns out you can't always trust your first judgment. Lance and Laura... they're actually pretty good people (despite Laura's rebellious nature and Lance's first impression by wearing the uniform disrespectfully). Wow.

There's a lot of twists and turns and Lord, have mercy on this underground city. There's a whole bunch of stuff in here about rock and the such... you must've done some hard off research or something or whatever. Man, that's just... Wow. Priceless.

Havoc's in here a lot. His narration of things from his end of this 'big project' makes him a seemingly big character- which I love! Havoc usually gets shafted and I think he needs more love and attention in the series, cuz he's probably one of the underappreciated guys and all. Yes, go Havoc fans! Go! ... Is it me, or does Havoc tend to have a good eye when it comes to noticing the 'stuff' between Hawkeye and Mustang. HM!

Speaking of Hawkeye and Mustang, that was total KA-PLOO-EY! (y'know, like... kaboom-kaplooey!, not sucky kaplooey crap..). One of those stone alchemists, can't remember, said something about, "This rock fell here 2 days ago." And then later, Roy's all, "Dammit, Hawkeye!" Oh yeah, KA-PLOO-EY spark there. I see Roy's opinion on this, too. Roy /did/ say not to go there, more or less and Hawkeye was all, "I'll be careful," but, hey, how careful did she get when that rock came about? Gawd, she coulda died and that would be one less 'moth' of the 'moths following the Flame' following the Flame.

... Sorry. I'm so for the Royai stuff. If I hadn't read the author's note in the beginning that said it would eventually turn into Royai, I would've never guessed this to turn Royai (dude, I think I just used Royai as an adjective...). And, yes, the type of Royai I'm into is that silent type. I don't mind fluff, not a big fan on lemons though, but the silent type... That's my kind. And you practically portray it very well in here.

Sorry again. Ranting about the unsaid Royai. Hah...

I was gonna wait till chapter 5 to review, but I just had to squee at wonderful Royai-ness!

And these two new alchemists... I dunno, it's their cocky being or something that just peeves me. Plus, it seems that Havoc and the rest of the usual brigade... actually, I think it's more of a division... (actually, brig generals don't control big chains of command...) don't seem to like them too well. Therefore, if Havoc don't like people, I probably don't either.

But I like this Cash guy. He seems like a good, trustworthy friend of Roy's, nevertheless, a munitions expert. Any practitioner of any sort of weapons is a friend of mine... Even if he is an OC...

But Roy seems to like them... patience, huh? But then again, there's that fraternization rule block they passed... Roy sounds like he has a plan in mind, and it doesn't sound like it has anything to do with blowing up that underground transmutation circle...

Well, I'll have to read on to find out...

By the way, the story's doing so awesome! The first time I saw the movie, I was all, "Hey! Aren't you guys gonna show how Roy blows up the transmutation circle?" when it ended. Evil... well, here's something! Whoot! Whoot!

Plus, the descriptions, the insight, the synposis of each character, it's well put. Everything is practically like a frickin' novel by some... expert novelist, so you keep that up and I'll keep on reading and reviewing.

Um, constructive criticsm point... Uh, I don't know much about Armstrong and all, but when I read the book panel thing in the CoS english dvd, I found out the Armstrong also dismissed himself from the military. Lemme get it to quote... "After he left the military he started a foundation and worked at rebuilding Lior..." But, I dunno. For all we know, he was reinstated too!

This is a great story so far! Though I am curious as to how Lance and Laura work together as they do. How does Lance communicate what he is 'seeing' in the stone? Or does Laura follow his alchemy to see for herself what he's doing?

Laura comes off as VERY awkward. I dunno why, but I think its her abrupt and harsh mannerisms among others. It reminds me of the characters I used to create.

Not that it's a bad thing; it's a good start, but...I dunno. Perhaps you can work on that?

That was a good chapter. I really like how Havoc began to understand the extent of his damage.

This is very good. I’ve finally found a story in the section to read in the mean time. But, I was curious about the wooden furniture and objects. I would think that they would have been able to with stand the passage of time, unless termites got to them. Untouched buy termites they would have retained their shape and form. Yet, I don’t think sitting on them would be wise.

Anyway, I read this right after you posted it and didn't have time to reply (drat work, always interfering with my life). Still think the characterizations are spot on and oh, I feel so much for Winry in this chapter.

You write Roy incredibly well (am jealous) and I am interested in seeing where Armstrong comes into play.
