Wow... that was... wow. Great job!

This is one of the best GWTW fics I've ever seen, and it does Gay!Ashley very well, which I think can be difficult. I hope this wins some sort of fanfic award, if it hasn't already. It deserves one.

I always wondered what would happen if Rhett had ever just yelled at Ashley, and this was a good take on it. I like the bit of unrequired A/R at the end. Did you ever read Five Things That Never Happened to Ashley Wilkes? It's on Skyehawke. I love it to death.

This is going on my Favorites list. :D

I found this utterly fascinating. There were a few flaws, but over all this is one of the more engaging fanfictions in this fandom. I really enjoyed the way you had Ashley and Rhett's interaction, and the recognition of how important Bonnie was to Rhett.

A couple of minor things (I hope you don't mind me mentioning them) (1) It states in the book clearly that Ashley could do everything every other man in the county did, and do it better. Part of that would include hard drinking, and that was an acceptable way for men to pass the time- I'm sure Melanie wouldn't object, nor would Ashley decline.

(2) I wasn't so keen on Ashley confessing his sexuality- not because of the sexuality (I write Rhett/ Ashley fanfics myself) but it didn't feel right that it was Rhett he was confessing it to, especially when Rhett seems more curious about it than Ashley.

Apart from that, highly enjoyable, and I hope to see much more!

This was an absolutely amazing story. You write beautifully, for one thing, and for another it was such a unique premise. I liked it very much, and hope to read more from you in the future.

Interesting twist. You know, I always sensed Ashley was a bit **. It was interesting, but it doesn't explain why in the novel Ashley said he was gonna take Scarlett. Godd start. Please write more.

BTW, which livejournal group was it that this comp was in? I had a look a while back for lj groups that hosted good gwtw fanfics and I'm sure that I must have missed this one!

this was very well written and interesting! I think it's very believeable, the whole Ashley liking boys thing, i alwyas thought he probably secretly did too lol. Will there be a continuation of this? I hope so, I want to see what's in store for scarlett and rhett.
