This was lovely. It has such a bittersweet sentimentality to it, and I love how you simply expressed the passages of time, and, well, life itself. Really, it was wonderful.

Being much older now than I was when I first discovered Charmed Life in a thrift store, this story has such immediacy to me. The teenager I was has merged into the woman I am, and I can feel the pull of my own life into Christopher's. Time passes for us all - we just don't realize it until it's passed a good deal.

Very wonderfully, gracefully written - you have all of the characters down so very well! I love DWJ as well but I haven't read hardly any fanfics for her; I'm happy that yours was the first, it was a great introduction into it.

This story brought tears to my eyes, and I read it a second time, and you'd think it wouldn't catch me by surprise, and my throat ached all over again. Lovely, not plotty, but it really caught a mood of loss and melancholy.

This is quite beautiful. Christopher and Milly are very well protrayed in this story. I hope Diana Wynne Jones will eventually tell us how they got married to begin with.

Well then you have an absolutely lovely style! Very smooth and ornate, full of all sorts of wonderful details. And you convey emotion beautifully. We all love Christopher (even though he is quite an ** a lot of the time) and this was a charming and heart-breaking look at his character. Well done!

Oh, that was wonderful. Sad, and very heartwarming, but mostly wonderful. I can see why this would be dear to you, and I loved how you portrayed Christopher's aging so genuine to his character. That was deffinately a favorite read of mine in the Chrestomanci Fandom.

It was very sweet and I wiped a tear away at the end. I liked the voice you wrote in, although the italics confused me when it was in parentheses.
You should go back to correct some spelling or word errors. This one "Her red hair is always well-kept in a brain down her back..." is where I think you meant to write "braid" had me laughing.
I'm guessing you're younger than 56?
