I love your story so far. Poor Remus! I can't wait to read more.

He bit his lip, determined not to scream. But to no avail. Being in this strange place, with no absolute friends to return to in the morning, made it hurt even more than usual.

Wow, great start! Most stories I read like this are Remus' POV, and its just some random wolf that atacks him. You give a name and a face to the werewolf that gave him the bite. Its an interesting way of doing it, not too many people even consider that there are two sides to the story, and that Remus isn't the only werewolf out there. Just a thought...wouldn't it be interesting if Sabine and Remus met someday?

This is incredibly well written and believable. I really like the way you've portrayed Remus as tragic, but not eternally mournful. And although I generally like Snape, I think his treatment of Lupin was probably very similar to your version. I'm addicted, write more quickly!

GREAT STORY

oh I love finding new gems on this site - the title alone is captivating! Very interesting start; I especially like Mr. Pettigrew: he seems kind but a bit wild and daft. The weak handshake of Peter's was a good touch.... I love Maine, but I'm sad that we're to be without updates for a while. I find your characterizations particularly well thought out and interesting. I have to wonder - is Peter going to 'cling' to Remus, as his only 'friend' (being shy) or is Remus going to feel he must somehow be nice to Peter because of Mr. Pettigrew? Also - the fact that the Pettigrews were both Hufflepuffs - will we get to see any of Peter's thoughts - perhaps *misgivings* that he is sorted into Gryffindor...or...(she thinks) are you putting Peter in Hufflepuff? (Hey - it neer says what house he's in!). Good work!

Oh, this is fantastic! I can't get enough of poor, sweet Remus.
