great story! i think Beckett would have done something similar in the shows. very in character as always, nothing to complain about(not that i would)

so keep writing those stories! :D

Just found this at LJ's stargategenficrec community. I really enjoyed it. I felt like I was drowning along with Carson. This is a great study of him - his thoughts on his life and family and friends, his willingness to sacrifice himself to save another, not mentioning the rising water even with his fear of drowning. Well done.

Aw, such a sweet Beckett story. He would pay that price, and it just makes me so sad. There are few people in this world as good as Carson. Thanks for a great story.

Oh, I just found this story from stargategenrec. What a start! Poor Rodney and the bleeding and Carson is in trouble. Great descriptions and what a way to throw us into the midst of things. :)

This chapter surpassed everything that went before. The language was beautiful and I thought it was amazing how you used the words Carson was hearing in his hypothermic, drowned state to recall earlier memories. This was a sparkling chapter with great literary technique.

The anatomical detail in this story is interesting - I wonder if you have a medical background. This aside, the depth of detail in your writing is just great. Loving the story.

Oh this is painful. I've got such a soft spot for Carson.

That was a wonderful story and so true to the lovely character of Carson Beckett! Without a moment's hesitation he would do anything to save them, anything...

Really liked this one. Carson being brave, saving Rodney even though it nearly kills him. Very well written. Excellent.
