Truthfully, I read the reviews first and I need to comment about something that someone said.

While there is some merit in their assertion I find a flaw in their contention. The Sephiroth of Lilith is an imperfect vessel. The shards of light represent each human soul the idea being that we are imperfect and not one with god. SEELE wanted to ‘correct’ this but that would mean an end of the universe. Gendo wanted to stop short of that by bringing all of the souls together so that he could be with Yui again.

That’s the longhaired technical explanation…..truth is, Anno made it UP!

I have spent a great deal of time researching this and still can’t come up with a plot line that passes the ‘smell’ test to tie it in with real religion.

Whether any of the angels were male or female is simply irrelevant, the concept doesn’t exist at that level. They simply ‘exist’. Our physical universe was created by a hydrogen inrush (event one), whether it was divine or natural is yet to be answered.

The story did seem a little repetitious with the 3I story line. (I’m biased in that I reject the EoE ending altogether). Asuka and Shinji do little more than make promises and hold hands. True it is a good foundation for a relationship but it kind of ended before we get to see the relationship flower.

Don’t get me wrong I liked the story! And I intend to read more of your offerings because I find them thought provoking.

Sorry, but thats so wrong its not even funny. If you read biblical writings, or lore in anyway you'll find the following.
Adam, the first MAN. Lilith was Adams first wife and gave birth to many monsters, she was also a succubus and ate her offsprings supposedly. God saw Lilith for being evil, as did adam after she ate the children, and used adams breast to make EVE.

If we take this and look at the Evangelion universe. It doesn't add up, but thats to be expected for author freedom.
Adam, the first angel(not first man) gave birth (with or without lilith) was the "father" or an ambigous entity that spawned the angels, if they return to "him" they cause third impact. Lilith gave birth to the "Lilim" also know as humanity. Gainax takes some pretty wild themes away from the Biblical acrophia associates with obscure religious texts. But even in the show adam is labeled a "he" and lilith(rei) CLEARLY a she, and she is most definitely humanities mother.

Its an OK write...Yet, I think you hurried up too much in here... Yet again its based on angelic days and not original NGE and thsu caharcets are diferent. yet I guess I would have liked some lnger tension between the two...

Anyways, a good style, and of course A/S is the best.

Anyawys I'm done with that. Had to get that out of my system. But seriously, I am a die heart Shinji/Rei fan. I don't mind Shinji/Asuka in terms of fanfictions, but in terms of manga, IT HAS TO BE SHINJI/REI!

Good story, it was cute, it was heartfelt, bittersweet. A bit vague in some respects but that's Evangelion for you. Even a bit confusing at some points.
