I love The Nichoume Haumted Mansions series. I know there isn't another story but I was wondering what Yuusaku said to Megure. I like how your story is cute and expressive.

A really nice continuation of your Nichoume Haunted House stories.

It is (again) a good mixture of cuteness, excelent character characterisation, a convincing plot and interesting "what-would-be-if" ideas.
My favorite part was how you made the detective boys tell the police. It is so fitting to Ayumi: She doesn't break the promise she gave Shin-kuns ghost since they won't get involved any further, but on the other hand she still had the courage to do something to help solving the (suspected) murder case.
Even Genta found out that the whole story was a cover-up (even if he drew the wrong conclusions what was kept a secret...)

Oh dear. I do believe that this just became a quartet (or even a quintet or more) of stories, instead of a trilogy. I Inspector Meguire looked at this with even halfway seriously, then he's gonna have some hard questios to ask Yuusaku about Shinichi (who's been missing for a while, and even when he gets in contact with the Inspector he insists that his name be kept out of any official reports). And if Yuusaku can't come up with a good cover story on the spot (even for a writer, coming up with a convincing lie after being forced out of a good sleep is hard to do), Meguire might just open an investigation on the disappearance of Shinichi Kudo, which'll likely have Conan (and Ai) sweating bullets.

Especailly if Kogoro (and Ran by default) is dragged into this.

If you really want to turn the screws on Conan, remember that he and Shinichi share the same fingerprints (slightly distorted from ten years of growth), and Forensics might mislabel anything Conan's touched as being handled by Shinichi (I've noticed that Conan's a little careless when handling evidence, sometimes using his bare hands, and it's a safe bet that both sets of prints are on file) which ought to draw some interesting looks Conan's way.
