Great story. The last line almost made me cry, what with the cancellation and all. :( But it made for a perfect ending.

“No matter how hard things get for you Maia, I will never, ever let you go. I will fight for you, I will do whatever it takes. Remember that, okay.” Ohh…you’re gonna make me cry :( Seriously, that whole chapter was so sweet.
“It’s what keeps us going. Wanting to know what’s over the next hill.Even if we know we will never find all the answers... we have to keep on asking the questions.” Perfect last-line to the story.

Amazing chapter! I’m about to read the last chapter, but I’m hoping you’ve given them a happy ending. As bad as I felt for Diana, the part of me who loves Tom and Diana’s friendship was kind of enjoying the first few paragraphs, with Tom holding her back.

“They felt like this was only proving societys greatest fear - that humanity’s natural compassion is slowly being bred out of us.” I thought that was a really interesting line on the future people, considering what we’ve seen of them so far. They do all seem to be indifferent to the problems they are causing in so many lives.
