yay! Raymonds alive!

sorry it took so long to actually review this. Got alittle caught up. Anyway, this is one of my favs on this site. the story was totally readable, the character's were portrayed perfectly, and you included very descriptive details. Must sound like I'm blowin' smoke up your ass, but I seriously think you could top any writter here. Loved the story and the way it was written. Keep up the good work.
P.S. dude, you're, like, totally right about how they rated over the hedge. It was like the best movie ever.

I have to say, that was genius. Pure genius. I LOVED it. The battle scene was perfectly worked out, I love how Rob AND RJ are both alive, I love the cliffhanger ending with RJ's brother, I just LOVED it. I must say, your writing style is captivating. Can't wait for Chapter 12. :).

Ah, so RJ does, in fact, remember his family; he just didn’t want to ever talk about them again. And even though you’ve taken this to a MUCH darker area than the original movie intended, you’ve also done a good job of integrating your extra material into the main story while continuing to expand and deepen it. A fair job of plot-weaving, to be sure.

On another note, however, what is up with Vexon?! Penny’s talking about how he’s gone insane, but seriously? Penny? Hon? When was this piece of work ever NOT a llama-lips spaz-job?! And the suburbian public’s letting him get away with this?! I submit, sir, that I am indignant of a righteous inclination! Thusly, I’d like to throw my vote in saying, by the end of this story, that Vexon’s comeuppance should be a sentencing to suffer every bad thing having happened to the good guys just in THIS story alone.

And while that last loopy statement looks pretty bad even at first glance, let’s solidify the horror by realizing such an event would include, but wouldn’t be limited to: getting hit by his own van, spontaneously reverting into an unfavorable beast body, lightning-based electrocution, being gutted messily (THRICE!), indentured servitude to an abusive bear mob boss, heart failure, claw torture, trapped for numerous minutes in Hammy’s company with no heavy tranquilizers nearby, having “New-and-Improved Spectral Rob” force you to re-live all that plus every OTHER terrible thing we might’ve missed, and the list just keeps growing …

As always, please forgive me if I get a little carried away. I hope it’s obvious that I can’t MAKE fun of a story that already provides so much of its OWN fun; I can only summarize with a humorous tilt. And I hope to read more soon!

Leave it to the kiddos to make a game out of another life-or-death situation. I can so see them doing the 'can't catch us' chant while running from a giantass vehicle of doom and destruction, driven by another crazy guy, who has even MORE reason to kill them than even 'the Verminator'.

You're so good at keeping characters, well, in-character. Their actions and dialogue are always spot on.

Now, for the final thing I'll say...

...HOLY CRAP that last line made my blood go cold. Perfect way to end a chapter if you want to be cruel by throwing a cliffhanger at us.

You stopped at THAT point? You enjoy making your readers crazy, don't you? Well now you absolutely HAVE to finish it because I, and all the other readers, have to find out what happens to RJ! Don't make him die! That would suck!! Totally totally suck plus he's my favorite character!!
